"That. Is. Awesome!" - Said Lucas, smiling a huge currently-animated smile, as she ate the pad thai taco.

"I thought it might be too spicy for your taste, but good to know you liked." - Said Cass - "So, what's the plan to save Lilly?"

"I'll... Wait. Unspoken Plan Guarantee..." - Said Lucas - "I can't tell you."

"Damn, you have a point..." - Said Cass - "So you won't need my help, then? Aside from, well, giving you the unspoken part?"

"Actually, given that I just added the guarantee, you'll be a big help. Just stay close with something playing music in your ears and with your back turned to me at a certain point after we get back..." - Said Lucas.

"You're loving this, aren't you?" - Said Cass, smirking.

"Count yourself lucky that I didn't whisper 'Psst psst psst' in your ear." - Said Lucas, smirking - "But yeah. Between getting to live like an animé and getting to screw around with much bigger things than I can imagine, it's been loads of fun."

"'At last a capital plan we've got / We won't say how and we won't say what / It's safe in my noddle / Now off we will toddle / And slyly develop this capital plot...'" - Said Cass.

"Nice. What's that?" - Asked Lucas.

"Utopia Inc., Gilbert & Sullivan." - Said Cass - "Anyways, let's eat and, if we got time, set this simple plan into motion..."

After talking with Lilly for a while longer, Les pondered about his recent musings. If he was dealing with a new science outright, one that could not be really measured by anything mankind had created so far, he might as well call it 'magic' by all rights. He would only have to apply the definition of 'science that is not yet understood'. He reflected on it. What kept him from calling it so was that he knew it could be viewed in a fairly harsh light by other scientists. That and he himself still had some scientific pride.

Ancient Greeks would attribute lightning to Zeus. Their medicine was based on humours and so on. And yet their methods in at least some aspects worked, if for all the wrong reasons. Likewise the Sun change was something that modern science could not understand. He would have to work with the basics, then, in order to avoid falling in any pitfalls.

He sat down to gather what he could know so far from the actual, hard data. No big scientific theories, no big attempts to change people back. Not yet, at least. Science done the old-fashioned way. Brick by brick.
