Lucas sat down, trying to gather what she knew of the situation and what she could learn.

"Hey. Still mulling over that Lilly girl?" - Said Cass, appearing right by Lucas, Lucas taking the animated texture she was getting familiar with.

Lucas nodded.

"Trust me, the sight I want to prevent is... Ugh..."

"Just don't let it consume you if you fail, okay?" - Said Cass carefully - "Know that you will have done all you could..."

"The very reasons you pointed out make me worry too, Cass. Aside from... Ugh..."

Lucas closed her eyes. Cass thought briefly of asking how exactly the death looked, but decided she didn't want to know and her lover wouldn't want to show her.

"Then we'll do it like this. We'll go out to clear your head and we'll also plan things out. Just pause for a moment and tell me. What do you think their deaths will prevent? As in, how will their deaths prevent those of others?" - Said Cass.

"Two options come to mind." - Said Lucas - "One, the emotional death of a child helps raise the awareness of people about the Enemy, thus preventing some other tragedy in the long run. Two, the tragedy is prevented in the fight itself, in a manner that means someone will have to die. Or at least that something will have to get hit with the energy ball. That, of course, assuming it's an actual energy ball."

"Right. Assuming this theory is correct, both options can be taken care of, yes." - Said Cass - "Is there any way to know which, if any, of them is the ticket?"

"Not that I know of. Neruite's been mum on it. Pretty sure she's not putting all cards on the table just yet..." - Said Lucas.

"Okay. Let's get ready and go out then? I know a nice little place, but I want to take the scenic route..." - Said Cass.

Lucas nodded.

"Huh..." - Said Cass looking at two people - "Gotta love a small town."

Lucas looked and saw a slug girl and a drow kid further down the street, both seemingly students.

"Your students?" - She asked.

"More specifically, the slug girl, Jon, was the one I told about you. The drow is Tim..." - Said Cass - "Hey! You guys!"

Jon turned around, and so did Tim. Though, to be sure, given that they turned animated soon after, they'd know who it was anyways.

"Oh, hey, Miss Wilkins." - Said Jon, blushing. She looked at the angel, who, being rather tall even for a woman her age, looked imposing from Jon's current view. The sword didn't help matters.

"This is Lucas. She's actually that angel woman I told you about, as an example of someone glad about her change..." - Said Cass.

Lucas smiled. "How goes? Yes, Lucas is a male name in my native Brazil as well."

"Right..." - Said Jon, blushing. She, like any other student, wasn't all that skilled when dealing with teachers outside class.

"Cass said you liked your change, but you did get the nice end of transformations..." - Said Tim, smiling lightly.

"Your deal isn't that bad either. Darkvision, a plus two to INT, DEX and CHA..." - Smirked Lucas - "Yeah, I'm signing my Geek Certificate here, I'll be the first to admit it."

Jon blushed harder, wondering how the angel would react if she knew she had Jon to thank. In the highly-stylistic imagery she was now rendered in, Cass noticed Jon's discomfort, and decided to speak as little as possible for her student's sake.

Tim smirked. "Gamer myself. You wouldn't believe how many times I got called 'Drizzt'..."

"Being that my new nickname is Akroma, Angel of Wrath among Magic: The Gathering players, I feel your pain, my boy." - Said Lucas, smirking.

"So..." - Jon piped in - "Miss Wilkins said you were happy about your change... May I ask why? I mean, I'm just curious, really..."

"What's not to like? I fly, I get to travel around via the Café, which is this place angel-changed can use to go around easily, I'm in shape..." - Said Lucas - "And there are other perks, too." - She smiled.

"Well, but you were male..." - Said Jon.

"That's... Not really a problem for me..." - Said Lucas, both smiling and sweatdropping.

Jon then looked at Cass. Oh, right, Miss Wilkins is a lesbian. So, Lucas is...

Cass could figure what Jon was thinking, and smiled lightly. "Well, yeah. Trust me, it's not a problem for me either..."

Jon blushed. "Right..."

Tim smiled a bit.

"Anyways, we gotta keep going, Jon, or we'll miss the movie..."

"Right."

The two couples, only one of them in an official date, went on their respective ways.
