Robert ran...

She kept on looking up at the buildings, trying to catch sight of the strange girl as she jumped out of sight. The child defied gravity itself. Robert was barely able to accept that she had jumped that high, and was apparently capable of defying physical laws- laws that she was herself impeded by. Still, she kept on moving. The devil woman had barely learned to walk in this body, and had never even tried running...

she realised she was very bad at it. Her breasts were kept mostly still by the special bra- bras that she wore, but the lowest pair were really starting to chaff, even with the pads over them. This body wasn't made for running! Everything in front of her were bouncing, sending distracting sensations from eight tender areas. Not as much without a bra, but enough.

She heard the clicks of each hoof, and craned her neck again to look up- and then she fell, hard on the ground, the pavement cracking slightly under the force of her weight and sharp horns. The pain of the fall was incredibly intense. Her breasts felt all bruised under their clothing- a pain she never thought she would ever feel making her cry out. Did she break a bone? She wasn't sure, but her legs at the strange Z-shaped muscles were now very sore, and she couldn't rise up.

She pulled herself to her back, trying to see if she could still see the strange girl. She had lost track of her at the first moment she jumped. There was every possibility she was running in entirely the wrong direction from the start...

... she was gone.

The little cat looked to Jenny then to her two friends. It was disconcerting to have to announce her presence to her partner like this. With such feelings there was only one thing a cat could do. She started to lick her paws, regaining composure. It was a delight to be able to clean oneself and for nobody else to bother her doing so... still, now that she had composed herself, she needed to tell Jenny to get a move on. Still it felt a little awkward to tell the child to say goodbye to her friends though...

Her whiskers bristled at the task at hand. "Jenny? We really need to go... there's a ... thing," Tetra said trying to be polite about it.

"A thing?" Asked Artemis curiously

"A thing?" Asked Lilly about the same time.

Both girls looked to the cat girl waiting for an explanation.

Tetra decided to roll a sleeve of her small dress, and licked her fore arm. This was so.. awkward. "yes... so me an' Jenny have to go."

"Oh..." Said Artemis. It wasn't in a disappointing tone.. or even one of acknowledgement. The tone was placed rather neutrally. The moon girl then glanced at Lilly.

"Can't we come?" Asked Lilly hopefully

"That... would be a bad idea," said the small cat girl.

The moon child stepped forward slightly. "I'll be fine" she said with a slight wink. "You wont even know I was around... either way" she gave a charming smile, as if the words she spoke were a basic fact.

Jenny looked to her then to Tetra and nodded. "Artemis an' her mother can help us I'm sure."

Tetra gave it some thought... then eventually nodded. She did sense a 'power' of some kind around Artemis, but she didn't really know the nature of it. She barely understood Jenny's own magic, despite being her trainer...

The squirrel girl sniffled slightly. "But... not me?" Her ears dropped downward, as did both her tails.

"I'm sorry kid," said Tetra. "Just... It's something really important..." she tried to be delicate about it.

Artemis looked at the pitiable squirrel girl. She seemed so lost... "Let me talk to Billy please? An' I'll meet you in a minute"The moon child said adamantly.

Tetra sighed. "Okay... just we got to hurry. I guess you'll know how to find us?"

"Sure will!" Said Artemis with a little wink.

The cat girl sighed. It hurt to interfere in her life like this... but the girl had a responsibility. "Come on. Hopefully this wont take too long," She purred.

Artemis and Lilly were left alone as Jenny walked out of the gates of the school. She turned a corner and... disappeared from sight. Artemis felt the slight pulse of magic but she knew where she would be. Even she could sense something was off. A vague presence, getting closer and closer.

"I'm sure it's nothin' to worry about Billy," She said to her friend forcing a smile.

The squirrel girl mumbled something. "You can call me Lilly... everyone here does, now" she said. Still... the new name Jenny gave her didn't feel bad. Why didn't she object? Wasn't it like the last piece of her old self? Maybe it was because the name felt like... a gift?

"But- I thought you wanted to be a boy?" Artemis asked. It was like an echo of Lilly's thoughts.

"I do!" Said the squirrel girl a little tensely. "But I'm not... an'... a boy showed me that by bein' stronger then me." What was the point of pretending? She was wearing a dress, her name was Lilly... what else was she holding on to? Was there anything left to hold on to?

"You're very weird," said Artemis with a giggle. "An' I am gonna ask my other mom... don't worry."

"T-Thanks," Lilly said with a little sniffle. She didn't want to break into any more tears... although... now she was wondering, maybe the sun changed her because... she wasn't a very good boy? Was that the reason? Maybe the sun changed them that way... or maybe.... Maybe that life was the dream. Maybe... Billy never really existed...

Artemis gave the shaken squirrel girl a hug.

Lilly cringed a bit at the hug. She didn't really want to share much affection... but Jenny and Artemis were both very care-free with their emotions. Open and honest to everyone. She wasn't sure if all girls were.. but those two, certainly were. She hugged back, grateful.

Artemis gave a knowing smile, and Lilly felt herself blushing. "We'll stick together... okay? No matter what," the moon child said adamantly.

Lilly smiled a bit at that... it was... exactly what she needed to hear.

"I gotta go now..." Said Artemis walking quickly. She wasn't sure if there was something for her to do... but at the very least, she could be present... just as the moon always watches in some way right?

The squirrel girl nodded as she saw Aretemis follow after Jenny. It took a moment for Lilly to decide to run after her... but on turning that corner, she was gone. There was nobody there.

The squirrel girl felt nothing but the wind... and chime of the hour, as dusk was starting to approach.
