I nodded and went to the door. He closed it again. "I'm not some kind of ungrateful wine eye. What do you want?" he said. "I told you what I wanted. If you wanted to be ungrateful, you can just stay when I want to leave." was all that needed to be said. I then opened the door and left for real. I wondered if he would actually join me when I decided to leave. Having a dedicated blacksmith in the party could be cool. A party could have 6 people, so I could take 5 people with me. My eventual goal was to go to the human country. I wanted some back up for that. I was only level 12. I made it back to the inn without any trouble and I relaxed there until the next day. Dalmar was a bit nicer to me going forward. My nails and horseshoes were still very popular. I also got the crafting minigames down. For the smelting, there was a cool sorting game in order to separate the ore from the rock. For the horseshoes and nails, it was a match-4 game where the more matches made increased the quality of the work. It only took me 2 weeks before I made enough sales to become a Novice. It was pretty quick work.

Getting this promotion meant that I would be able to craft daggers and spearheads. In the army, I had a spear for long range combat. I did not use it too much, but it was always a good way to keep the enemies at bay when at low health. We would not be making the metal rods for the shaft though. That was for Journeymen. For now the shafts would be wooded rods. My master was pissed off when he sent off the paperwork to the guild. He was in a really tough situation. There was no way for the master to justify Dalmar and Azgath ranking up to Journeyman Blacksmiths. With only 2 weeks of experience, that would be a clear abuse of power and a threat to his own reputation. Their 1st spearheads and daggers were pretty poor. They might even have been made Novices a bit too soon. They would learn and improve with time. Any skill could be learned and improved upon with enough grinding and practice. I would just surpass them by a large margin by the time they did. That was the last thing the natives of the town wanted however. Dalmar made an effort to treat me better though. Nice.

He stopped grumbling about me so much behind my back. It still happened, but it was mostly repeating back with the master or Azgath were saying at the moment. Their hatred for me and the other red eyed demons in town did not matter to me one bit. Using their resources to become a good blacksmith, I could go and use my skills. The world could always use a good blacksmith. When I got to level 20, I wanted to go and find something to do in the human country. Dulgron came to the workshop to give me some ore and news. He and Helelin had become Copper tier merchants. It meant that they could join caravans. That was only reserved for Journeymen in craftsmen guilds. I congratulated him and he said "A caravan to the capitol and back is getting ready to go soon. You should come with us." I looked at the master. He was doing some sweeping, obviously listening in. "I'm too busy here. It wouldn't work as I'm just a Novice. Maybe if I can get to Journeyman." I said. He just shrugged and told me that Thalox and Phirlax helped clear a demonic plant cluster. "They're near Bronze." he said.

I smiled. They were all doing well. That meant that If I kept them on my side, they might be able to really help out in the human country. "Don't you have some work to do now, Uraris?" my master said. He had his arms crossed and was looking at me. I sighed and looked at Dulgron. "You heard him. I'll see you later." I said. He just nodded and left the workshop. I took the obsidian ores he gave me. Smelting needed 2 ores to make a single ingot. I was keeping the ingots that were special for myself. I had 4 obsidian ingots and 3 ingots of malachite so far. I was not able to make weapons using the ingots, so I was going to have to wait until I ranked up. Sometimes they would give me He had 6 of the ores on him when he handed them to me. I did not know how he got them, but that was nice. I made the 3 ingots right away and put them in my inventory. That bumped my total to 7 obsidian ingots. The armor that I could make would be cool and with really good stats. Once that was done, I watched as the master created a steel greatsword for a customer. Azgath and Dalmar were both helping him out.
