Eric looked at the car mirror, seeing the strange skunk-girl look back. Her clothings had changed again with her transformation, leaving her in a purple dress. It was not a 'bad' dress... very ordinary really, on such a strange body. It seemed to work well with her tail and white hair.

She had seen those eyes before and thought she was rid of her. She wanted to look at her with anger and accusation. She wanted her to know just what she thought of her...

but that girl, just looked upset back at her. As if that reflection was accusing her.

Eric didn't want to think about this any more. She was not going to give up. She had seen that transforming back was entirely possible. Even if it was for a short time. All they had to do was go there. Back to where it happened! Where the alien sun changed her back.

She looked at Peter, a little guilty at her earlier actions.

"Look man, I'm sorry," she spoke in a very strange tone. She was like a teenager. A teenager from the seventies or eighties. "Bein' a chick ain't cool."

Peter looked strangely at her a moment. The way she talked... was cringe worthy. She seemed like a sweet kid though. not exactly fully grown, but not quite a child either. She could almost look like a very innocent looking Goth. Were it not that she was a fully adult male just a moment ago.

"I know.. I know. Got to keep on truckin'" Eric said shaking her head.

Peter face palmed inwardly.

"The worlds just joshin' with us. Just set me up."

"What?" Asked Peter.

"Take me to that other world. An' I'll go from there." She said flicking her long white hair.

"I don't think that's a good idea. That's not Earth. It's an alien world. We need the army here..." This was news... Holy hell! He was going to be a camera man where they discovered another world... right on Earth! Mind you, this was not how he pictured such an event to be as.

Peter was starting to wish he had packed more cameras. Would he even get a chance to speak anything about this? It was rare for the camera man to be part of the action... Jay and the others always got it. That was fine, he was not exactly camera material. But this! This was a momentous moment of history! What if they made contact with aliens?

So many possibilities!

"Dude... chill," said Eric as she held on while he drove a bit erratically. "This is sooo unreal," she said looking.

"Why do you talk like that?" Peter asked.

"Like wha'?"

"Like- I don't know!"

The skunk girl shrugged. "Funky?"

"urgh..." Peter shook his head and continued driving.

Eric sighed, adjusting her long skunk tail on the seat. She had lost a lot of her height... "Thought I'd be me again... 'least I was. For a while."

Peter felt a little sorry for her as he pulled up near the house. Being a lizard wasn't a picnic either... but he managed just fine. Actually it had helped his knees quite a bit. They were starting to ache fro all the work he did. "It might not be too late. If my money is right, people will come here from all over. Hell... they might try to colonise that planet... Humanity might decide to move there," he said thoughtfully.

Still... such a thought made him feel uneasy. Would humanity so readily abandon mother Earth? Earth did not push them away with this change... in some ways, some transformations seemed to bring humans closer. It was a strange thing. But then, maybe Peter was seeing things which were not there. Maybe they could be human on another world... but it didn't look as beautiful a place to live in.

The skunk girl got out of the car, and started to walk.

"Where are you going?"

"For a ride," she said simply. "Beam me up Scotty," She said with a half smile as she became set to travel to the other world. She saw a few strange glowing 'cracks' and 'ripples'... maybe she could just walk through it...

Jay had already opened the door to bring Peter in. "You okay?"

"Yes... what the hell happened?"

The three tailed fox girl grinned. "Something newsworthy," she said simply. "Do you have your camera?"

"You bet. Everything in the van has been recording everything. But if you're going to do any report, we best hurry. The Army is going to be here any minute."

Adam looked in concern to Riley. "Are you okay?"

The girl nodded. "Yes... but... I fear what we just did, may have consequences."

Toby hugged her daughter. "You did well honey," She said. "Hedgeton is back on Earth..." She was never so proud of her daughter. She was a hero... nobody would ever know of it. The only thing left was to make sure everyone was accounted for.

Adam looked down a bit. He still felt guilty. He decided he would give himself up to the sunlight at first light. For what he did.. nearly dooming the town, he didn't deserve to be human! When so many others...

...he just wanted to help...

"I.. guess you are going to take the Air-bubble away now..." Adam said sadly.
