While Cecilia was talking to Mike a winged girl came running towards the two of them, reaching them halfway to the rest of the group. Breathing heavily she came to a stop in front of the gynoid
.
Standing there, in front of Cecilia and Mike, was a 5,7 feet tall demon-type girl somewhat between 16 and 20 years. She had the spaded tail that was common for this time of transformie as well as a big pair of leathery wings on her back, heavy hoofs instead of feet and a light purple skin color. Two black horns grew on her head running from her forehead backwards and in strong contrast to her white hair. What made her special, at least to the perception of Mike and Cecilia who so far met only scantily clad demon-types this girl concealed most of her body with heavy looking baggy pants and an oversized sweater so that expect for her hands, wings, tail and head no skin was visible.

" Moment, please." She wanted to say more but had to collect her breath first in order to do so. Patiently both the raptor-girl and the gynoid waited for her.
"Sorry to make you wait," the demon-girl started after half a minute "The names Jen, please, let me join the search as well. I may not be a hunter like her" Jen pointed towards Mike "but I can help."

"So, what makes you think this exactly?" the gynoid asked, not sounding too convinced. The fact that Jen was pretty exhausted didn't help Cecilia in believing the girl could be useful in a probably dangerous exploration of the surrounding area.

Instead of answering Jen concentrated and suddenly her hair turned black while her skin became a much darker purple.

"For starters I can change my appearance at least a bit to hide better in the shadows. Also as part of my transformation I feast on the vitality of others."

Mike baked away a bit from Jen upon hearing this. "Don't worry, I have eaten already. Anyways in order to find proper prey for nice vitality I got some new perception, I can feel it in people and animals even without seeing them. So, if there are aliens out there and they are nether plants, neither robots nor elementals I may be useful in finding them."

Cecilia thought about it. "Ok, this really would be handy but think about it. Going out there may be dangerous and you don't look really impressive. I would prefer to take people capable of watching their one back. I'm not the type of person who likes to be responsible for others."

"Don't worry 'bout me, I'm built sturdy if it comes to the worst. My skin is really thick, almost inbuilt armor. And those wings aren't meant to fly. To small, and my body to heavy in order to stay airborne. Rather those are inbuilt shields with thick skin and I can't really feel pain with 'em. Also I don't really want to be in town right now. You see, I may have remarked that I want to stay a transformie rather than going back human. And while no one showed it, I could feel a kind of anger in some of the people who heard it. You know, the kind of anger, that, mixed with fear of the unknown this world represents could lead to violence."

"So, you can feel what others feel, too?" Cecilia asked.
"Uhm, yeah, it's my version of finding out what some ones vitality will taste like since the taste is based on what they feel. Kinda like how the smell of food can tell you if it's good or rotten."

"Please, could you stop talking about food?" Mike complaint. "As I said, I haven't caught anything in forever and I'm really hungry right now."

Ignoring her Cecilia continued "Ok, if you really want to tag along, fine. But if what you just said is true this could lead to some serious trouble. Hawkins must hear this."
