Rachel giggled as she saw the baseball cap appear on David's head.

"I love it when that happens," She winked.

David felt the hat a bit bemusedly. She didn't support this team... but she didn't object to wearing it. It seemed to make her sisters a little happier and harmony was important to them. She wondered... is that why they were called a chorus?

Toby, the anime-girl tried to insist to her husband she should stay home.

"No way," Terri said sternly. "You know I'm coming with you."

Toby knew better then to argue about it. She was also very concerned about potentially putting her child- both of them in danger. They didn't really know what happened in that town, and it was a very long drive. As a family though, they agreed to go together.

Riley jumped into the back seat of the car, while Terri took the front. Toby started the engine, and drove down the road. She had a car mobile phone and decided it might be a good idea to see if Jay might have further details she could not broadcast.

"Phone Jay," she commanded the phone while pressing a button on the dash.

The autodialler dialled her number. It was engaged. It took almost five attempts before it connected.

"Jay here," Said the fox girl said, a measure of exhaustion on her tone. For Jay, a veteran reporter to get exhausted, a lot of activity must be going on.

"It's Toby. We are on our way to Hedgeton," she said.

A dry chuckle escaped the fox girl. "Half the people seem to want to go there, while the other half are fleeing in the other direction." she explained.

"Can you tell me anything... on the side?" She asked.

Toby paused a bit. "Mostly rumours at the moment. It's not a big town. The government has kept us all away from going closer then fifty miles from the epicenter. They say there was a strange ball of light, and the entire town rippled away."

"The buildings?"

"Some are gone. But there are structures left behind in a few places." Jay explained. "Everything there underwent a complete change- even the land."

Riley listened quietly. Why did this event seem... significant to them? Yet there was this feeling...

"... Toby? why are you bringing your family with you?" Jay enquired.

"H-How did you know?" Terri asked surprised.

"I can hear three people breathing," explained the fox nonchalantly.

"I can't really explain it right now Jay..."

Jay shook her head. "Well, if you are coming here you better get here as soon as possible. There are still a few ways into the town they might not have sealed up. But options are drying up."

"You could get there faster driving an animé car," said Riley quickly. "Just... make it go faster!"

Terri and Toby looked at each other and at the aura that had bleed into the vehicle they drove. Parts of it were animated... could they really do that? If they made the entire car animated, did that mean they could break physical law with it? But the last time they strained reality too far... she wasn't sure if it was worth the risk. They could end up driving right into the animated world! Riley was with them, but they didn't know if her power could bring them back... they didn't even know the nature of her power in the first place.

"I think we should try it," Said Terri holding his wife's shoulder.

"Okay... but if anything happens..." Toby started.

Terri nodded understandingly. "An entire town is missing. It's worth the risk" She said while extending her aura to encompass the entire car.

Toby did the same, their two aura's mingling. The car felt... lighter to drive now. The road before them seemed to undergo some kind of compression. The ends of each motorway just seemed to bleed into each other, but only when there were no cars. They were travelling at a speed that seemed to vary based on observation.

Terri stared at the road, uncertain as to what was happening. She drove as she always had, but roads just came and went quickly- yet she was clearly not driving over the speed limit... what was going on?

Riley however seemed to understand. "We'll get there just on time now," they said.

After all, that's what happened when one travelled on an animé.

Mark was glad to be back in her old place. She stayed away from the alcohol. the dance floor was beating loud with music, and there were several people dancing. Some... took a strange view to her. She ignored them. She was still the same person!

What would Mark Michalski do now? Trying his way with the ladies most likely...

Okay... so maybe she wasn't quite the same person now. Not that.. it wouldn't be interesting to try, but maybe it would be best to just have a good time. One of her favourite songs started to play, so she got onto the dance floor.

Mark didn't really know how to dance. Still she knew it didn't matter. It was all about confidence, and right now she had no reason not to at least try. So she danced as she always had. A few people raised an eye brow at her... mostly the men. Still Mark ignored them.

"Hey gorgeous, want to dance?" Asked a strange man. he built large, some kind of Ox? Still despite the size, he seemed a nice enough person- despite the 'gorgeous' line. Now she knew where those cracks on the dance floor came from... Mark didn't automatically respond anything, as it too noisy to really say much. So she just danced with him for a bit before he went to get a drink.

Mark continued to dance, she could feel her body being drenched in sweat. She could also sense her sisters wondering what she was up to. The bouncing of her breasts could be felt, as well as the motions of her feet..

This felt good...

Lilly glanced around hoping nobody would notice her. The young two-tailed squirrel girl tip toed into the kitchen, her every motion silent. Her brother was watching television with her parents. She felt ashamed for this... but sometimes, the instinct was just too hard to ignore.

She started to rummage for fruits, and nuts, finding a jar. Relief flooded her mind. She had to collect more... as many as she could.

She quickly brought it back to her room, and hid it under the bed.

The jar joined the rest of a collection of various dried fruit and nuts and even biscuits she had scoured. She slept better knowing they were there... the smell of them made her feel so much better.

She glanced back across the door, to make sure nobody noticed her latest spoil. If her parents found out she was doing this... they might be very upset with her. She didn't want her father mad at her.

She thought back a little on her old life. She had started hanging out with older boys, in an effort to be cool. It was nice. They called her Billy the Kid. Though now.. she really was a kid...

She quickly counted her various spoils, making sure they were all there. For some reason it felt important to do. Satisfied she continued as if nothing was wrong, hoping they wouldn't notice the missing food.

Robert arrived back in her simple home. Her cloven hooves making clicking noises as she entered the hallway. It was a nice house... simple really.

She thought about what father Maxwell said. Could she be a priest... a...a .. priestess? A devil priestess? The very idea made her cringe. She didn't serve the Enemy! She had placed her soul before the Lord. Father Maxwell said there was nothing in the charter that suggested she couldn't continue her job...

her conscience held her back.

A mind.. could be changed though couldn't it? A priest was supposed to be filled with compassion... The light didn't change her physically when it first arrived. The concept twisted her mind long before. She was thrilled and vindicated, that God Himself had shown Himself in the sunlight. He felt awe, that their generation of all generations before them, would encounter something so powerful... and fear yet trust, that this was all part of His plan. That he must one day walk in that light...

... and how grand it would be, to become the right hand of God.

Robert took off her clothes. For some reason... clothes felt strange. She stood there, naked, her shiny red skin visible. She could feel those urges returning. A desire to explore this body despite her revulsion.

Maybe... it would be okay to just...

No! If she did that she might never stop... she was aware of physical addiction and this body was a temptress... it was even tempting herself! Maybe... she should just go to sleep.

she fell onto her bed still naked, her tail wrapping itself around her form. Its spaded end teasing her lowest breast. It felt too nice to truly object to... she ran her hand across her crowded torso, her breath panting... her skin was so sensitive... so nice to be touched. For skin on skin to touch, she kissed her own arm, feeling the pleasant warmth on her lips...
