The policeman had to go through thick vines in the direction the teenagers pointed. Could this really be where the Pastor was this whole time?
With a great deal of effort trampling through the growth, he found himself into the clearing, and tried to look for any sign of a tree that might have once been human. Of course the human mind is designed to see faces where it wants to, making the task that much more difficult.
"Greetings son," Spoke a tree in front of him.
The policeman's instincts kicked in and he took a step back startled. He relaxed realising this was indeed the tree those two spoke of. Still he had to be sure... "I am an officer of the police. Would you state your name?"
"Father Maxwell my son," The tree said.
The polceman looked at him. Procedure had to be followed... "You have been missing for quite some time. I just need more proof... what is the month you were born?"
"It was January," He replied with no hesitation.
It was a rudimentary test.. still it all added up. Who else could it be? He accepted this had to be Father Maxwell.
The tree looked to the police with an expression of concern. "I saw the fire on my church... I hope no lives were lost?"
"No... everyone is fine." The man explained.
"What started the blaze? I heard the bell fall from here..."
"I... regret to tell you, it was a member of the priesthood. A Father Roberts Douglas." The policeman reverberated his regret and tone. From what he knew of father Maxwell, he would not condone such things in the priesthood... yet here was a member, that had nearly destroyed his church. "We have him in custody."
"May I see him?" Asked the tree calmly. "I wish to know this man..."
"What's left of him.. he- she is recovering... I shall bring her to you." The policeman took a few steps away back towards the main roads.
"Abomination! This was your doing!" The devil-lady glared at Rachel. She was handcuffed and still quite.. out of it. A policeman had draped a towel over her body, but it did little to hide the cloven feet, or the bulges of her strange torso with its eight breasts. Even the smaller lower ones poked outward.
"I did no such thing!" Rachel said angrily.
The police with them had to separate them, with David looking all the more bewildered.
"Angel of the Lord!" Robert spoke. "I did this for you! You were in danger from her corruption! It was for you! And the Lord you serve!"
David was aghast. "I- I don't serve anyone!" she said with a shocked look. This was horrible. She wasn't anyone special!
"Tell the Lord of my Deed unto him. Tell him I am not in league with His Enemies! My act was in service to Him! You are His Angel! You must!" The priest looked quite wild in her eyes. What was God's plan in doing this to His warrior?
Perhaps the worst part of being in the sunlight... was not the actual transformation, but the sudden removal of his vestments of faith. Still, they were but cloth.. he wore his faith in his heart. Even his male status, he carried in his heart no matter what he looked like. He was still a priest!
David was getting very uncomfortable at this. "Look- my friend-"
"She is not your friend! She will corrupt and destroy you! We are at war with the Enemy!"
David gave up. There was no getting through this devil-woman. Eventually the policeman they had sent came by. "
"It checks out. However he wants to see you first," He said to the devil lady.
The devil woman gave a little smile at that. "The Father lives? Then this will be fine! He will see my deeds for what they are, and not peruse justice with you."
"Come on girl," Said the policeman. "You two may come as well. I need to ask him if you had permission to be in there."
David looked a bit worried at that... but Rachel gave an affectionate hand on her shoulder. "It'll be fine... come on."
"I can not walk as this!" Robert exclaimed looking at her hoofs. "I refuse."
"Well.. no time like now to practice," grinned Rachel just a bit.
Rachel.. enjoyed watching the ex-priest stumble on her first steps.
Robert's every step emitted a click onto the ground, as her hoof met the ground. Her breasts jiggled and swayed at each move... they were exceptionally free to move as they pleased with no restraint. All eight of them... It was a rather unusual gait she had adopted to moving. Her body posture seemed to be slightly hunched, but she couldn't tell if that was just her under compensating for the new weights on her chest. She had a little trouble standing completely straight up, but maybe she'll get the hang of it in time.
They reached the clearing..
"Before you talk to him..." the policeman started. "These two claim to have your permission to be in your church. Is that true?"
"Ah... Kind Rachel," The tree's voice resounded in the clearing. "I see you decided to come by with a friend... yes officer. They had my permission."
"What!" The devil-lady said aghast. "Have you lost your mind! Look at her! She's sin and evil incarnate!"
The others just stared at the new devil lady.
She flashed a dark look back. "I did what was necessary. For the sanctity of the church and the cloth. I am a warrior of God and struck a blow upon our enemies! I saved an angel of the Lord!"
"I believe... I know who you are, Angel-changed," said the priest. "Would you approach closer?"
David hesitated slightly and came closer to the Tree. "Father... I.. um... well..." She wanted to apologise. She hoped it wouldn't be like this though! "I.. I was one of the ones in the gang. I- I- just followed what they did. I'm sorry..." She said softly.
"You are forgiven child... I believe these things have a purpose behind them. You always have a place with us... if you wish."
"I- I am not an angel," said David.
"I know..." The Tree explained softly, with his earthy voice. "I speak to one.. that might be a wayward soul..."
David gave a little smile. "Thanks... I'm glad I was able to apologise to you."
The tree's eyes bore into the new Devil-changed. "My Brother... why did you do these deeds?"
"For God!" She said. "As you should have as well!"
"As I should have? Brother... look upon our church. Can you not see? You have destroyed the bell, that which calls us to prayer... you nearly destroyed yourself..."
"The light illuminates the sinners for who they are! The revelation is said in the holy texts as a step towards the rapture!"
David glanced at Rachel then at Roberts... was this priest insane? She only had to look at herself. By that logic, she was damned as well.
"Then.. how do you explain your own change, Brother?"
"I-I-" the devil girl looked angrily... then lunged her red arms into the ground, the towel around her falling of. "AH! GOD! WHY! I WAS YOURS! I DO NOT SERVE THE HELL SPAWNS! I AM A MAN! A PRIEST!" It was hard to know where his true anger lay.
The tree looked sympathetically. "Perhaps...you now understand at least, why I believe woman have a place as priests in our work..."
"No! They have no place in such! The divine seed is passed from Father to Son! Never to daughters! Such is the essence of Truth in our Order!"
"If that is what you truly believe... then you can not be a priest any more..."
"I am! I serve the holy Order! Tell him!" She said to David.
"For the last time I'm not an angel!" David said angrily. "And all I can see here is you destroying a church, and if that fire had come out here, you may well have committed MURDER!"
The devil lady looked stunned. She realised she was unclothed. "Grant me... my dignity... sergeant. May I have the covering on me..." she gestured to her cuffs, unable to get it herself.
The policeman without a word placed it back around her.
"You have placed me in a difficult position Brother," explained father Maxwell. "I need not have to press charges... indeed, I would not if I believe it would serve the Lord for you to work to undo your mistakes..."
"They were not mistakes! I stand by everything! The only reason I have become this creature's brethren is because that harlot walked in the Temple of god! She corrupted the church, myself... and.. and... the angel!" Yes it all made sense now!
"I shall press the charge upon her," said the tree-man. "Use the time wisely Roberts... contemplate this riddle you have found yourself in."
"How dare you!" Roberts exclaimed.
The policeman nodded. "Right... good enough for me. A few days in the cells should chill her out."
"I am not a her" she seethed. She took another step... and fell flat on the ground. "ARGH! I demand my clothes!"
Rachel gave a rather light giggle.
Roberts was lead away into the back of the police-van. She could not actually make the step inside the van as her new legs felt totally alien. Instead she was lifted in. She took a seated position, her long tail curving between her legs, and her knees on a rather high elevated position.
She placed a hand on the top most of her breasts... feeling them. She cringed slightly at how sensitive they were to the touch. She didn't understand why this happened... she placed her hands below on the next set, finding they felt completely identical to the first with the same sensitivity. She ran her hand to the next one down... and finally... the next.
She was starting to get dizzy. "Help me! Lord! Please!" she collapsed into herself, her every breast bouncing and jiggling, the shiny skin lightly slapping each swelling.
This was not right. Why... Why did the Lord do this? She was His priest... not only had she become the enemy.. but a woman? There were only a few possibilities...
the devil had claimed her. She didn't think it likely as one must be willing to give their soul the the Enemy before they lost it. She had shown her worth to God by her actions...
Then... maybe... there was another reason. Perhaps... she is meant to wear the face of their enemies, so that she might destroy them! Yes! If God had need of such a warrior... would He not do that?
That devil mentioned something called a 'hells kitchen'... and right now, she was being taken to the den of sinners. A jail... this may well be a plan of the Lord in motion.
The door to the van opened and some garments were tossed in. "We found a few clothes for you. It's not much but should do for now." said a policeman.
The van was then locked up again.
Andy knew what she would normally be doing at this time... getting a drink. However, she did not want to do that any more...
"Honey?" she asked the snake man.
"Yes?" she smiled.
"Do you... think we could go to the park today?"
"We haven't done that in a long time" thought Sue. "I'd love that," She smiled. "Maybe we could also catch a movie."
Her husband- no wife had changed so much in the last few days. It was uncanny... slowly the man- no woman she loved was returning. It was confusing... in truth she was worried a lot about her. Still that time with Maple seemed to have helped. Last night was... interesting. Being on the other side was... different. She never realised how much care she had to take either. Like any other woman she had always joked that men had it easier in marital affairs. Though to actually be put on the other side...
She wasn't quite sure what to think of it all. She was also worried of their two daughters and in particular Alex. She wished she could do something for her...
"Billy? You have a friend here to see you!" said her mother.
The squirrel girl looked surprised. "H-huh? I don't haf' any friends," the two tailed girl said.
"It's Julian," she said.
Billy looked wide eyed. Julian from school was here? To see her? "I'Il go see him outside," she decided.
The squirrel girl walked outside the house... and saw him.
Julian was a changed, though his changes appeared to be quite mild. He had a wolf like look about him, but not quite all the way. Lacking in tail, but he had the claws... and what could be enhanced strength. He retained the same age billy used to have... He saw the squirrel girl and grinned recognising something in her.
Billy cringed not helping thinking she was now a meal to him.
Julian continued to grin, flashing incisor teeth. "Hey Billy. Look who won the bet. I think it's safe to say, my transformation is better then yours."
"J-Julian?" She exclaimed. A long time ago they had made the bet... but didn't really think anything of it at the time. It was just... guy talk? The memory was hazy now. It's not like either of them wanted to go into the light... but it happened anyway.
"Look at you!" Julian picked the squirrel girl up by the scruff of the neck.
"Let me go!" She said angrily swiping her paws at him.
"Aww.. you're so cute..." he chuckled. "Can't believe you used to be taller then me. I guess the shoe is on the other foot now? To think all those times..."
Billy extended her claws and swiped at his arm.
"ouch!" he dropped the squirrel girl. "Pft... You used to be cool to be around. No way we can hang with each other now. I wouldn't want to be caught dead with you."
"I'm sti'l co'l!" she said angrily. Jenny... said she was.
"Whatever man. You're just a little girl now. Not even a cool one! You're just... a squirrel."
"B-But I'm st'l-'
"You can't even talk right any more! Sheesh... look man, find yourself some girly friends. I'm outta here."
