(Note: Leaving the intervening events open to others' interpretation, as the material isn't exactly my forte. But I wanted to cover the aftermath as well as the lead-up.)
Andy yawned and stretched as he awoke. Susan was already up, and he was by himself in the bedroom. Gone to work already...no, wait, it was Sunday...and it was day, too, the morning light streaming into the room. What was...? He sat up, confused...
The bounce of her naked breasts as she sat up and the feeling of long hair cascading down her shoulders brought a sharp reminder of the reality of the situation, and the bunny-girl flopped back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling in stunned amazement as she remembered the events of yesterday...
...and the events of last night. She sighed contentedly as she recalled their lovemaking. From a physical standpoint, it was...not fantastic, she had to admit. Both of them knew what felt good to their original sexes, but neither quite had the hang of providing it as the other sex. And they had been pretty tired from the traumatic events of yesterday morning...
But...what it had been was intimate, in a way that they hadn't experienced in...a lot longer than she cared to admit. She had kept her vow...she had truly opened herself to her mate as she hadn't done since she couldn't remember when, and...and...
She smiled wistfully at the thought. Sue was, of course, just as careful of her as she knew he would be, and for all his concern...there was nothing about it that hurt her feelings. She had thought that it would mean making herself "less of a man," but...she didn't feel degraded or broken. If anything, it seemed like admitting her weakness, her emotional fragility, had driven it from her...probably not permanently, but even this was progress.
And...she had to admit, clumsy as it had been...it felt good. Strange, strange in a way that she could barely begin to wrap her head around, but good. When they were more in practice, when knew themselves like they knew each other...with her energy and his stamina (she'd read that snakes mated for hours on end...) She trembled at the mere thought of it.
She sat back up, staring across at the mirror on top of the dresser. This was her now...a little pang of yesterday's horror shot through her stomach, but...it wasn't so traumatic anymore. Now that it was just a fact...she could deal with it. She thought.
Andy got out of bed and went over to the dresser...wait, that wouldn't do much good. The only clothes they had that would fit were the T-shirt and pants they'd found for her yesterday (well, and the leotard that had come with her transformation, but that certainly wasn't casual wear.) No underwear, even. Her old clothes would probably fit Sue, but not vice versa. And Alex was going to need new clothes as well, though she could make do with sharing Sally's for now...
Something was nagging at the back of her mind, but she couldn't think what...
She slipped on the jeans, threading her perky little tuft of a tail through the slit Sue had cut for it, and pulled the shirt over her head, feeling her ears spring back up as they popped through the collar, then pulled the mass of her hair through. She should get it cut...should she? It did...it did look kind of nice...not that that was a big concern of hers, but...
The rabbit-woman suddenly gasped as she realized what had been bugging her. They hadn't used any protection! It had been so spontaneous, just her and Sue and nothing in between them...she shook her head, trying to clear the distracting feelings stirred by that thought. What if she'd...what if she was...?
No, no. She sighed in relief as she realized that couldn't be right. She'd only been a woman for a day; she couldn't possibly be ovulating yet. Still, the thought that she even could get pregnant was sobering. They had planned on having another kid, but not with her as the mother! And anyway, they couldn't afford it...not with her unemployed. They'd have to be more careful from now on...
Ugh, so much to think about, to cope with...she needed a dri-
No. No, she supposed she didn't. She thought back to what the doctor had said...the physical dependency was gone, but the mental habits...she'd break them. She had to. And she had her mate to help her...
Now dressed, Andy went down into the kitchen. Sue was there, making breakfast...she sidled up to him and put a hand on his arm. He set down the eggs and turned to her. "Oh, Andy, you'r-"
Alex stared as her dad wrapped her arms around her mom and went into full-fledged lip-lock. After everything she'd gone through yesterday, now she was just...? The dragon-girl sighed. She'd never understand adults.
