Harry noticed Zara stop playing suddenly. she had a huge blush on her cheeks.

"Are... you okay?" The oriental girl asked concerned.

Zara put a hand onto her lips still blushing. "U-Um.. yes."

Mark was doing her homework idly in her house. She did not even want to leave her room. It was bad enough one of her sisters put on lipstick today. She couldn't face a weekend like this...

... suddenly she was overcome with a strange sensation. She felt tense...

The sensation of something on her lips. A kiss... Simone just kissed her?! Despite being freaked out the fact that her sister seemed to like it was also making it hard to dislike it. A bit like when she was subjected to the occasional coffee or snack she didn't personally like but her sister did.

She could feel the sadness and upset confusion of one of her sisters... was it the one kissed, or was it another one reacting in fear to this sensation? There was mostly confusion in their link to each other. Mark wasn't confused though, she was annoyed.

Mark tried to concentrate on her homework instead but found it just too distracting. "Look whichever one you are just stop it!" she tried to use what will she had to at least make her feel stronger... After all, Mark was a fighter. Couldn't she use that?

She wasn't sure if it worked or not, but slowly things went back to their simple routine feelings again.

Satisfied Mark went back to her homework.

Rachel continued to walk with David down the sidewalk in relative silence. She hoped... she did not press her angel friend too hard. She probably didn't really understand how being connected to others like she was would be.

Still... she did think she needed it. It was not done maliciously, and truth be told, part of her felt quite bad that it made her cry. Did she... go too far?

David was still a little red around her delicate face, looking down slightly in silence.

Rachel kept a more respectful distance. "So... do you want to find this heaven café?" She asked.

"Maybe tomorrow," said David.

"Ah... Sunday. Makes sense."

David didn't really think about that. Many religions placed a lot of significance on Sunday... could she have better luck finding some outside realm for her peculiar kind of transformation? If indeed there was one.. she realised it must be quite rare. As rare as the devil transformation.

Still... Rachel had found others of her kind- her kind of transformation she reminded herself. Perhaps she could as well? Maybe... they may know the nature of her strange connection to her sisters, and could undo it. Or even, provide a basic understand of just what she was. She wasn't an angel...

Rachel saw David thinking about something. "Have you thought where you could go to find the door?"

"Yes," The angel girl nodded. "But there are few places... suitable, I think."

Finding the door to Hell's Kitchen was relatively easy. Bad neighbourhoods were common enough to provide whatever 'energy' was needed to form that connection. But where in the world could she find the opposite equivalent?

"Maybe a church?" Thought Rachel.

"There is one church..." said David thoughtfully. The one that started all this... "That stain glass window... We'll go there tomorrow. I need to have a closer look at it."

"Oh! You invited me. Grand" Rachel winked.

David blushed again. "W-well.. I mean I... do want you to come."

"Even if I can be a pain?" She winked.

"Um- yes." David gave a little smile. It felt nice to have one, after her transformation. "You showed me your place... if there is something on the 'other' side... the least I can do is show you as well."

"If it's real..." thought Rachel. She had a feeling it might not be quite what David expected. One small commonality on the devil kin were their interest in the... material. Even if this is seen as sinful, it was the reality of where they- along with the entire human race existed. There was a connection there...

The other side, if one existed, was perhaps more to do with mind and the unseen. The immaterial. Who knows what they might find, if there was a door and they stepped through? Finding such a path has been the goal of philosophers for hundreds of thousands of years, if not more.

Who... or what would they meet?

The devil girl wasn't sure why, but the thought gave her a slight shiver. It was bet not to make any assumption.

Will really enjoyed the food..

Anneza gave one of her shy smiles. It didn't look like she was used to guests. She had actually taken out some chairs that were folded away.

The wolf girl wondered why someone would shut themselves out like that? Was she just the kind of person that worked and did little else? She guessed the woman had to be quite well off.. or at least, used to be. The loss of a job could hurt anyone.

Will remembered her first job. It was peddling a herb that supposedly helped aches and pains, and reduced cancer. It made her sick to think about it. People wanted to buy it out of fear of ill-health. In the end... she cracked. She couldn't sell it any more and actually got herself fired.

She joined the police some months after that, and was glad to at least make some amends to such a terrible start. To be fair it was her first job and did not pay much... her service in the force had more then paid any perceived debt.

... still... she disliked pedlars selling such things. Perhaps that's why she felt a sympathy to Anneza. She was a human being that just wanted a cure... it was quite obvious what the voice promised. It chilled the young girl to the bone.

"Thank you Anneza," Said Will.

The space girl gave a little smile in silence, though her eyes looked watery. The loss of her job was starting to hit home. What could she do now? In this body that could barely talk... had a very limited wardrobe (though she was glad her space dress seemed very resistant to dirt so far) and ... floated.

Maybe she could be an entertainer? Everyone point at the freak...laugh at her.

After dinner they all washed up. Anneza turned on the television out of habit... and saw Jay on the news. It looked like she was reporting on the presidents speech.

The space girl closed her eyes, she saw herself on the street. Her body twisted into a shape not it's own.. the feeling of her breasts on her chest, and the sudden vertigo of realising she was not touching the ground. Tripping in the air, showing her cleavage to those monsters...

... the laughter. Incessant laughter. It echoed in her mind, like an unending dream. She didn't think she could ever get over it. She was about to turn the television off when Will and Ellen sat beside her.

"I just want to hear what the president said," explained Will.

The doll also hoped she could too.

Aneza was... surprised at the distraction. This was so foreign to the world she used to be in. There were people with her... and that struck her as quite profound. She let them have the remote control.

Did what their leaders say matter any more? Was the government really in control? If this was a war, they lost.. they had been invaded. An invasion of way of life, was by some a definition of being conquered. What exactly could anyone in the government do except wave the white flag?

She took her position back to the central area of the room, floating idly around, quietly noting her guests watching the gibberish on the television.

Mrs Gordon opened the door very carefully, to prevent exposure to the light. She accepted the letters, giving... a strange gaze to transformed individual.

Closing the door she looked through them. Some more results from the lab... a few bills... an appointment for her regular check up... that would be interesting. She wondered if her doctor would be a transformed person or not?

She placed the letters on the table as Jenny quickly rushed to her.

"Can I sleep over with Billy? Pllleeease?" She asked hopefully.

Mrs Gordon looked shocked but smiled. "Sure dear. She could use a friend," She smiled.

Jenny giggled. But for some reason she felt a kind of... loss. The pocket that housed Tetra was empty... It was nice to have her mentor help her out of difficult situations. Even if her claws sometimes dug into the white haired girl, it was also very comforting. She scratched slightly at where the claw marks had dug into her hoping it wouldn't be too obvious.

"I will see you tomorrow Jenny," smiled her mom. "You have fun."

Jenny reached up and hugged her. "Yes Mom" she said happily. She had never stayed at a friend's house before. This could be so much fun! She wondered what they would do?

She went upstairs to where the rooms were. She was still amazed at just how big this room was compared to her own. They even had an intruder alarm. She saw that alarm a bit curiously, wondering how she even recognised it? But then... what else could it be?

She entered Billy's room with some curiosity. It was quite spacious. There were a few posters on the wall of people she didn't recognise. There were a few stranger ones too that looked like animated pictures. Even one or two animal kinds- that looked to have been torn down.

She saw some school work on Billy's desk. Whatever the book was it made the white haired girl dizzy to look at. It was so complicated! No way Billy could read it... could she?

Billy came into the room looking upset at something.

"Wha's wrong?" She asked the squirrel girl.

The girl looked really ashamed at something. "I- I-" She then burst into tears.

Jenny hugged the poor girl patting her back, the fur very soft. "'s okay... tell me." She said.

"Um- I was usin' the um- um- I was doing my-" She stammered. "I forgot I'm a girl now an'" she trailed away deeply ashamed. "You wouldn't get it I guess." she whispered looking away and upset.

Billy was right, she didn't get it. Jenny tilted her head to catch the squirrel girl's gaze. "You gonna be okay?" she asked in the end.

The squirrel girl nodded. "I- I guess." It was embarrassing. Just... embarrassing. She did certain things out of habit and well... she had to re-learn all that again. Being in this body didn't feel right. Looking in the mirror she just.. didn't see herself. Not even human.. She sat down on the floor, her two tails curled up to her lap.

Jenny giggled.

Billy looked up. "Huh?"

"Um.. nothin'" She said smiling sitting down next to her.

Billy gave her a strange look but shrugged.

"Maybe If I called you somethin' else you would remember you're a girl now?" Jenny asked. She was trying to be helpful.

Billy didn't know. "Um- What would you call me?"

jenny giggled again as she thought about it.
