David was feeling a tiny sense of fear, not just at her current location, but also knowing that wherever they were seemed to be so... ill defined in 'where' it was. A place that jumped around was so disconcerting. There were so many questions. Could they go with another devil here, and end up somewhere... else on Earth? Or where they only able to go back to where they started Or what if.. somewhere other then Earth?

Instantaneous travel... through a restaurant?! The prospect of being dumped in a random place on the entire planet alone was too scary. If Rachel got her here... what if she tried to leave on her own? She had to make sure she left with Rachel and stick to her like glue. Just in case, until they find out more.

She still sensed her sisters feeling to also enjoy the food she was eating (mostly. There was always one annoying one) but this was actually a comfort right now. Wherever they were, they were still not far from home- unless the connection was that strong. (A distinct possibility.)

A small circle was growing around David and Rachel. A few devils admitted they had not seen an angel transformed person before... indeed, quite a lot didn't think it was even possible. They had a lot of questions... what was she? What was her purpose? Interestingly, a few did wonder if she was a real angel... and not actually a transformed person- to which David quickly set the record straight.

There was one very inquisitive, short blue tinted devil in particular.

the blue girl asked curiously. She seemed to be about David and Rachel's age, but spoke with a distinctly English accent. Like Rachel she too was naked... her legs where not quite the human sort either. David wasn't sure how to describe her.

"If you don't mind my asking... why are you two friends?" she asked tilting her horned head.

David glanced at Rachel, as much as she did on David.

"Well-"

"You see we-"

They both stopped unsure for who to answer.

"Oh.. its like that huh," The blue devil took on a vague smile.

Rachel laughed. "I'll leave that to your imagination honey," she winked.

David blushed. Just what was this blue devil thinking? And why was Rachel encouraging it?

"Do you angels have a place like this too?" she asked quickly moving to another subject.

"I don't understand," said David a bit bemused.

"You know... a place you can find others like yourself. By wondering around."

David bit her lip. "I'm... never far from people like myself," She said softly. Even in this place... even here... so far away yet so near. One was sitting down fiddling with a remote control, another was idly stretching her leg, another was playing a musical instrument... she could feel it all. Just as they felt her eating this.. interesting food.

"Really? So there are... other angels?" She asked. "Nobody here has ever seen one... before you."

David wondered if that was fear in her voice. Still it was maybe just her. These people treated her- actually they treated everyone the same. So human... it actually made her smile sensing the deep goodness in them- even if they were a bit.. enthusiastic. "Um... I know of.. five others," She said. "But... we are sort of... family."

"Wow... a family of angels. That sounds so cool!" she giggled.

"You don't know the half of it," said Rachel with a little gleam in her eye. Her tail was already silently flicking near David's leg. So tempting! But... she will resist it. For now.

"You should see if you can find your place too. I'll bet you might find more angels," She said thoughtfully. "I didn't know I would find any more devil transformed people here," she said sounding very assured of the discovery.

"Rachel looked to David in contemplation. "I wonder what food they would have there."

"I bet it would be all angel cakes, candy floss, and probably all churchly," The blue girl giggled. "Hey, maybe you will meet God! Maybe He's a bartender."

"Um.. actually..." David bit her lip. "I... don't really believe in... God," She said slowly hoping it didn't offend.

The devil girl gasped. "R-Really?! But.. you are an angel!"

"I never had reason to... I still don't," she said softly.

Still... it would be interesting if she could find such a place as this on her own side. But that could wait... right now she needed a drink to wash down that spicy rib. "Um.. do you have anything to drink?"

The imp glanced to them. "Sure. Ginger ale suit you?"

"Um.. actually... I was hoping for some lemonade?

"Sorry, don't have that."

"orange juice?"

"Nope sorry," he said again

"... water?" David ventured running down the list of things she hoped for.

"We don't get that here... for some reason it just evaporates if there's nothing in it" He said.

"... Cola?" Asked David exasperated.

"Ah! Yes we do have that. Hold on."

Muriel smiled as she watched the two children play. She thanked whatever fate it was, that brought Jenny into her care. She hoped she could be a good parent. It was funny, how she volunteered as a police officer but the prospect of teaching another life how to live seemed more of a challenge. Jenny was so young, so impressionable... what if she did something wrong?

The Squirrel-girl was still running around, not even realising she had lost her tattered pants. It actually helped her move faster, she noticed. She drew a few more curious observations of the unusual transformed child from the way she ran with her daughter.

Despite her appearance, The squirrel-girl definitely seemed to run like a human would.. but there was an unusual animalstic gait to it too, but she didn't need to use her forearms. Although she suspected it was certainly an option to get a further burst of speed, much like a cat would spring from a coiled leap.

the child's strange paw like feet were also very unusual. she seemed to step on her front toes as a digitigrade animal would. This had the effect of making the foot adopt a similar position as if they were on heals, despite the lack of shoes. Again, very similar to that fox she sometimes saw on the news.

She was no expert on transformed people, but she suspected the squirrel-girl would grow up to be quite a pretty one, judging by her face at any rate. Or maybe she was biased, as she was certainly in a maternal mode of thinking at the moment.

Billy couldn't let a girl beat her in a game of tag! There were many games she was beaten in before, but never tag. She used to be so fast! She remembered that. So she ran and ran after Jenny, but she was quite a slippery one.

Jenny was also very... imaginative in the way she hid. How did she do that!? It was like she had played this game as an expert.

The white haired girl giggled jumping from behind a tree and Billy couldn't help but giggle herself. This was fun! She couldn't remember the last time she played this.

Billy ran with all her might. She felt something slip past her legs, but was focused on her goal to tag Jenny to notice. Suddenly, out of nowhere, she realised she was running as fast as white haired girl. She jumped upwards slightly, resting a hand onto the girl's back. "Tag!" she said giggling.

Jenny turned around and the game was switched around. She was finding it really hard now to keep up with Billy. The squirrel-girl ran like lightning! Still she kept going, even as they dodged a few other kids waiting for their turn on a slide.

Billy took another turn, but Jenny caught her and tagged her tail. "Tag!"

"Nuh uh, that doesn't count!" Said Billy turning. "You got to tap me"

"I did! Your tails are you." Said Jenny very simply.

"Nuh uh!" the squirrel girl repeated. "That's not fair. Their too big. You don't have one."

Jenny giggled. "I got these," She said gesturing to her long white hair. "If you tag my hair it's the same."

Billy was about to protest again when she realised... she had lost her pants. "Eek!" She squeaked. "W-where um-" She looked absolutely mortified. She couldn't find them! Somewhere in their game of tag she lost them.

They heard a familiar rumbling... Stacy had returned. "Hi big brother!" he said with that rumbling voice.

Billy looked worried. "I- I lost my um- pants again," She said pulling down her T-shirt to cover more of herself.

"I found them," Said Stacy giving them back to Billy- such as they were.

If anything, they were just about completely shredded. now.. however Billy persevered in trying to fix them up as well she could, even digging the big shirt into the pockets as if that would help support them.

"Can I play too?" Asked Stacy hopefully. He.. hoped he still could.

Billy gasped slightly imagining trying to outrun her 'little sister'. As a dinosaur that would be one scary game.

Jenny didn't have to think about it. "Tag!" she said tapping the dinosaur and stepping back. "run Billy!"

Instinct took over and Billy decided to just forget the pants holding them in her hands and run. She would need all the speed she could get.

It was an interesting house, Jon thought. It was quite apparent Tim only had one place to really show them as a real tour... the basement.

They opened a door that lead down a flight of steps. The carpet was red, and looked quite old. The wood creaked at each step, and to the slug girls discomfort, there were some nails that had not been put in properly.

It was not as comfortable as being on that wonderful grass...

After those first bad steps though, the inside was very comfortable. There was a computer screen, and a shelf with various role playing games. Dungeons and dragons of course, but also quite a few obscure ones.

"I take it this is where you played?" Jon said impressed. She had never actually seen a real gaming den before. This place seemed to have it all. She even spotted a projector system for the table.

"Sure," said Tim. "I even managed to get my sister to play sometimes."

"Oh look!" Said Karyn. "Old toys!" She giggled looking at the shelf full of various incredibly obscure programmes. She knew because, she didn't know what they were.

"Um- yeah," Tim blushed. "I kept quite a few of them. I guess it's silly."

"Not at all. I still have a few of mine too," Admitted Karyn.

They then all went back upstairs.

Jon gasped, as she bumped into someone. A dragon... girl?

Her primary colour was a dark metallic green. The scales covered her forearms, and legs not unlike the dragons rumoured to have been in their school. However She couldn't take much more detail as she quickly turned around, showing her long green tail.

"oh- Hi Melody," Said Tim. It looked like her sister was trying to sneak outside the house, and they had accidentally ran into her.

Melody glanced behind with red ringed eyes, very tiredly- and possibly a little freaked out and shaky. She was clutching something quite large, inside a towel. "Um. Hi. Sorry Brother I'll talk to you later. Nice meeting you all." She quickly stepped through the door to the back of the house.

Jon and Karyn just... didn't know what to say. That was awkward as hell.

Anneza was lead back to her house. Ellen was held carefully by Anneza, silently looking and helping where she could. (admittedly not much at the moment, but the thought was there)

the space girl paused at the street somewhat excitedly. she saw that one of the police officers had returned her car.

She actually floated back to her car first, to look at it. It was just so... joyous, to see something of her old life. Something that suggested freedom, of travel... but then she looked at her legs, floating above the side walk by their strange locomotion.

... she didn't need the car any more. Not for herself, anyway.

Will watched the space girl silently. She was really starting to feel sorry for her. Still she had a job to do.

They all entered the flat, and Anneza saw that the mail had arrived. Someone had posted the key's to the car. She took it slowly out of the envelope, with a wistful sigh. Sure.. she could go anywhere, but there was something fun about driving to.

Could she even still use a car? She would just end up floating around the seat, unless she was fastened tightly to it. Her feet were probably too weak to manipulate pedals for too long, given they worked in zero gravity.

She silently hanged the key on a hook in its usual place and looked through the rest of the letters. At this point, Ellen decided she wanted to show she was capable of doing some things herself, and jumped out of her hand. She wanted to look around the house.

Anneza didn't mind, and continued looking through her letters. A few were junk.. it was quite obvious, even to one that had lost a basic understanding of language.

Will closed the door behind, and started making her security checks in her head. The door had a decent lock, but no more then any other door. The window's offered a protected view of the street... Hm... if she wanted to enter this house, how would she do it?

... why did these thoughts make the wolf in her so eager? She then saw that Anneza was staring intently at one of her letters.

Anneza gasped... this was an important letter in her hand. It was from... Bernardelli. She could tell by the distinctive signature. He was not just any boss... The boss. The director. The one that invested in their company... A letter from him was a scary prospect right now but it could also be her saviour.

She unfolded the letter, and was greeted by a wall of text she couldn't read.

... could it possibly be good news? Maybe... Maybe they were giving her a chance to continue her role in some other way? Maybe it was for a meeting to discuss the situation and to work out a plan? Or maybe it was to say how long she would be paid for in her absence?

There was a little hope! There had to be some little light at the end of this dark tunnel.

She ran a hand through her green hair, her hand on her lips.

Will tilted her head. "What do you have there Anneza?" the wolf asked curiously. Something has excited the space girl. She looked perked up.

Anneza was already floating towards the table in the kitchen, putting the letter delicately at the center of it. She lit the room as if she were performing some kind of ritual. The space girl floated almost horizontally, her eyes gazing at the piece of paper, her strange antenna bobbing on her head looking at it upwards, sideways, every way possible. She took out another piece of paper, writing in her alien language. She was focusing all her mental abilities to decipher it.

One letter... one word... one sentence at a time.

Will looked at the letter, and speed read it. She could sum it up in two words.

You're Fired.
