Rachel gave an inward smirk at the very thought of David's peculiar... ability.
In a way it now all made sense. No wonder David was so... angelic. It was clearly not a normal trait. It was just a side effect of being completely unable to experience a pleasurable sensation without sharing- or even imposing it with others. The girl couldn't have an intimate moment... and so remained 'divine'. There was a mixed feeling on that for the devil girl. After all, why should she share her interesting person with anyone else?
But then, this was one more thing that made David... all that more interesting.
"U-Um.. could you move your tail away now?" David asked politely.
The devil girl's tail had remained hovering, just a millimeter away from the angel. Rachel gave a little smile and complied... "Well... if you insist."
"Aren't you going to say why you act like that?" David asked a little annoyed.
"Well, I now know why you act like you do... but I'm afraid there really isn't much more to say about me. It's just interesting."
"Interesting?"
"Yes" Rachel grinned. "You know what else could be interesting?" she hovered suddenly closer to the angel... almost as if she was about to kiss her.
"A-Adora?" David stammered, looking at those strange red eyes of hers.
"Shh.. you can call me Rachel now," she said leaning just that little closer. She then gave an impish smile. "Let's go."
"G-Go?" David had half frozen there.
"The park maybe? I dunno. We could go on a random bus and see where it takes us. I'll be it will be... interesting."
Steve wasn't sure she wanted to spend the whole day soaking up sunlight... it had been almost two hours now, and she was starting to get restless. Her mother however, was still quite content. Perhaps because she was 'greener' and could make use of it more? She wasn't sure.
She had spent a while tidying up the garden. She pulled away a few weeds. She wasn't sure what to make of what she felt doing that. Weeds were plants as much as anything else, but they were also bullies. If they grew they took away life from everything else. Even an ordinary flower did the same to all the seeds under her... nature was terribly cruel.
Yet for some reason, she had this instinct that she was charged with taking care of them now. Herself and her mother... gardeners. Plants fought for survival... perhaps a gardener made them all 'get along?'
Steve's mom had been more the gardener then she had. She didn't know the first thing about plants. Her mothers transformation suited her... it certainly didn't suit her son. She was more into the ordinary things. Video games, racing, that kind of thing. Why had she become this.. flower girl? At least she was able to walk...
Though her legs were clearly not her own either. There was no escaping how girly they looked. without her sweat pants it was just all that more obvious. She was also horribly aware of the small weights on her chest, free of confinement as she was naked. She was glad nobody could see her. She would just about die...
After she pulled the weeds, she arranged the flowers a little better with a delicateness she knew she never had before. It was like an instinct. She knew all the best places for light, and the strengths of each flower here, and the best place for them.
"That looks wonderful Steve," Her mother said smiling.
"U-Um... thanks." She said quietly. "I'm not really sure how I'm doing this."
"I always believed you had a talent for gardening if you put your mind to it. But you were never interested."
Steve gulped. Was she losing herself to this transformation already? After just a few hours in the sunlight? Was her mom still herself too? She was too... accepting of all this. "M-Mom.. I'm... not sure about this. I don't feel like im.. me." She was already going back into the house.
"Steve?" Her mother called.
Steve turned around, her petal dressed picking up the wind slightly, as the touched her legs settling back unsettling the flowergirl even more. "Y-yes?"
"You are still my son... you are still you. Unless... you think I'm not me any more?" The green skinned woman, tilted her head a little sadly. She brushed the sides of her blue petals with a sigh.
Steve gulped. Did she read her mind? Did she really think that? No! Well.. not at first. Her mother had changed so quickly though in the sunlight, her demeanour was different. Or was she just that much better then her at adapting to something so alien?
"I... I know you are my mom," She said in the end. "Sorry... I just.. really want to go inside. I have to think about this..." Steve quickly tried to go.
"Why don't you go see your friends in the arcade as you usually do?"
"N-No... No... I can't." Didn't her mother understand? That part of her life was just... over. She quietly went back into the house, feeling suddenly very low.
Haru smiled a little glad that she was honest with them. It was really starting to weight on her.
She looked a little at Naoimi and was really curious to hear more about who she was. Haru herself after all, had not just changed genders, but also her ethnicity... Naomi appeared to be black but with four arms. Who's to say she didn't change ethnicity as well? Or age? Or anything! The young three eyed girl realised after her conversation with Zach, she really couldn't take any appearance for granted.
For all she knew, Zach the lion might have been originally female. But how rude it would be to just ask people who did you used to be? She couldn't do that!
Zara, the angel girl gave a smile to Haru. "Are you going to try practising singing?"
"I think I would rather continue with my flute," she said shaking her head. It was an interesting experience but...
"Oh.. a shame. I really think you have potential," Zara winked. "You were rough.. but considering you had never done it before... I think you would be amazing with practice. The breathing exercises would also help your flute playing."
"I'll... think about it." Haru wasn't sure why she was looking at the angel girls lips, and seeing the lipstick. Was this a cue that she was really a girl before?
The angel girl caught the stare. "Is something on my face?"
"Um.. no. I just.. was looking at your lipstick." Okay now that sounded girly, even to Haru.
Zara smiled a little. "Well, I had a job interview this morning. A club is hoping for a cello player... a bit of blues jazz. My parents insisted I best look as smart as possible... and gave me a few tips." she gestured to her lips. She had forgotten she was wearing it.
Haru looked really impressed. "R-Really?"
"Oh its just a small club... nothing special. Only on Saturday evenings... I'm just hoping to turn my life around. I may not have the job anyway. I don't actually... look the part, I think." An angel playing the blues? It would be... really weird.
Haru tilted her head. Zara was quite relaxed about it. This could be a major break for her, but she took it all with incredible composure. Was this normal for her, or was this because of her angelic appearance? "I... guess I hope you get it," she smiled.
"Thank you Haru." Though truth be told, she was quite nervous about it.
Muriel watched as the tiny cat girl trained Jenny. It was a bit worrying to her, she knew... she wished with all her heart, she could take the girl's place.
Signing up as a police officer she knew a long time ago she might be putting her life on the line. Many people said it was just a job... to Muriel it was not just a job. She simply wanted to try and stop crime as much as possible. Her transformation into a half-mesh of insect carapiece did wonders to instil a sense of fear in the eyes of others.
But that tough girl didn't want to be feared. She recalled how she was exposed... she had a choice. A crime was in progess on her way home, as the sun was about to rise... she had spent work doing an all nighter on working out where to put some of the more dangerous transformed people. Jails had to be reconsidered... bars needed to be made bigger, or in some cases absolutely tiny... to others, not even bars would hold them and they needed expert advise.
She had driven and only had ten minutes for sunrise. She was almost home though. But... an assult happened right on the side where she was. A man appeared wounded, and she got out of the car... giving chase.
She encountered the criminal at the corner street... and was attacked. He was human... Muriel tried to fight back. But the sun had caught them both. in the shock as the light caught them, the criminal managed to hit Muriel. The police officer was down..
she gave a description of the criminal, but there was no telling how accurate it would be given he was caught in the sunlight too. She didn't even know what he had transformed into...
"Higher Jenny!" Tetra shouted.
Jenny tried to jump up, in her magic girl mode. She had reached ten feet in the air, but seemed unable to go higher then that.
Tetra was unsure what was wrong. This wasn't right! Jenny was able to jump fifty feet up at one time. But for some reason, something was holding the girl back. Something weighing her down, or not channelling the magic right.
"I- I can't Tetra," She said sadly.
"Okay... um.. I'm going to have to rethink this training stratagy..." The catgirl sighed. This was very worrying.. she was perfect before!
What was wrong with Jenny?
