Alex blinked... closed his eyes, as if that would somehow undo what just happened. He had exposed himself to the sun. No- he also got his sister exposed. Time seemed to slow down for him, as he felt the weight of his sibling holding tightly.

'Please no!' he wailed inside. 'This was my fault. My Fault! I didn't want this to happen... take me... please don't take my sister!'

Acting on that instinct, he took hold of his sister and turned her to the ground, as if he could shield her from the sun with his own body. 'Not my sister... not Sally!' He was supposed to protect her! He could feel his body going numb, as a light started to extend, encapsulating the two siblings.

don't be afraid

Alex didn't know who said that. If by some miracle he could just save his sister, that was all that mattered. He didn't care one bit about himself.

Sally looked alarmed as she was pulled underneath Alex. She might be smaller but maybe she could save him! Acting on adrenaline she turned Alex around yet again, so her body was shielding him from the full sunlight. It wasn't to last though, as Alex with his superior strength turned her around yet again, re-shielding her from the sunlight.

Tiffany could only look in shock. "Idiots! get back in the shade!" maybe they were not exposed enough? There was always a tiny chance of that!

"Alex..." Sally spoke tearfully, but refused to let him go. She hugged her brother with all the love she had...

The light continued to flow between them. Tiffany had to shield her eyes, as the light was becoming incredibly intense for any 'normal' transformation. She had seen people exposed to the sunlight before. Their shift was usually very subtle. Muscles and skin moved like it was clay. This was... different. She knew she should run before she got blamed for this, but she just couldn't leave them.

Alex knew he felt strange... he kept hold of Sally, even as the light encapsulated her. He could see the light also on his arms, glowing. He wasn't sure how the sunlight worked, but maybe he could somehow 'take' Sally's exposure? If he took her into the shade, while he was still in the sunlight... It was the only plan he had to undo this!

Alex, tapping into strength he did not know he had, grabbed his sister. Every pull and step becoming more difficult, as if by sheer will he was holding back his transformation for just a few seconds more... he placed his sister in the shade while he remained in the sunlight, but maintained contact with her. 'This has to work!'

Tiffany watched Alex and swallowed. Nobody knew how the sunlight worked, and he was about to try something really stupid! They were exposed, they should just deal with it. It would be better then-

Sally seeing her brother still in the sunlight pulled him into the shade. What was he thinking!

"No Sally!" Alex groaned..

The light around the two flashed instantly.

Tiffany stared... uh oh...

Jenny was hugged by Muriel strongly. "Jenny! What happened?" Practically the entire police force had come out to ensure the security of all the schools in the area.

"I-It.. it was... them..." she said quietly.

The police officer looked upset. She had chosen this school because it looked like the safest place for her. She promised the kid nothing would happen to her!

"Don't blame yourself," Tetra said quietly. Muriel had brought the little cat girl with her. "The Enemy is getting better at sensing things in this world..." though she had no idea they could narrow it down this closely. It could only mean that the dimension they existed in, was starting to press closer to their world. It would only be a matter of time before things got really bad.

"I-I made my choice. I want to fight them! I want to be like you Muriel!"

The police officer cringed slightly. "You're too young..." she said softly.

"I got to," She repeated asserting herself. She felt a little afraid, but Muriel made her feel safe and stronger then she ever felt before.

"She won't be alone," Said Tetra. "If I can just find the others. But we have to get her trained quickly."

Jenny started looking around. "W-Where is she?"

"Where is who?" asked Muriel

"There was a witch here. She helped me.. she um... she was here." Looking around though, there was no sign of her. How strange...

Muriel's sergeant came towards them. He was an unusual transformed person, a grizzly bear. His hulking form slightly intimidated Jenny but Muriel looked relaxed about it. Tetra on seeing the unfamiliar bear approach, became still.

"The experts have looked at the device over. They can't find anything explosive in it."

"So, its not a bomb?" Asked Muriel.

"Doesn't look like it. A fake to cause trouble is what I'm thinking. Lord knows how they got it on top of the school though."

Muriel nodded. She knew it was a lot more then that... but she would have to get the story from Jenny on what happened. At least if it was considered a hoax, it would buy more time to find out who the enemy is. "What about that other... strange woman?"

"We can't get anything out of her. We searched her.. she has a driving licence claiming to be a Mr Anderson Collins. A doctor's letter says she can not speak or understand English any more, so we're having a hard time questioning her. Near as we can tell, she saw the suspicious device and tried to help."

"Really?" asked Muriel.

"Yeah I know... unbelievable."

The sergeant groaned as he saw the media and news crews eager for statements... there was barely an investigation but something had to be said. "take care of them if you don't mind Muriel. I got to do more checking around."

Muriel nodded.

Alex groaned... what happened? He was inside the school... he recognised it as the nurses office. He closed his eyes again... vaguely hearing voices around him, but not sure if it was real or a dream.

'What happened'? Asked a female voice. The nurse... thought Alex.

'... The idiot.... Stupid. Why did they come here!' Another woman said angrily. Tiffany he vaguely thought.

She's a dragon... humanoid... '
but... a two headed dragon?...

Alex opened his eyes.
