Anderson couldn't believe it.
How could it have come to this? How was he so uncomprehendingly stupid! He saw the darkness outside the court window, and assumed it was now night. But the sun was just low, beginning its sunset. The trial made him completely disorientated and he had lost track of the time! He wasn't at all sure what happens now. Did it feel like dying? He felt like he was about to die... as if someone had just stabbed him in the back. He stopped breathing.
It can't end like this... he was free! He was going to start over... he was going to make them pay. It can't end like this... not like this...
Things blanked out for a long while, and he was alone. A separate entity, as if viewing the world from the outside. A disembodied voice... instincts urged him to run, but where could you run once exposed? There was a vague awareness of someone watching him, but it didn't matter...
And all so suddenly, he breathed another breath. unwanted consciousness exploded, memories trickled in, reminding him of that dreaded sight.. the setting sun and all that it implied. He tried to speak... "adolau nunye ta?"
gasping at the words that came from he jumped up, placing his hands across his mouth, feeling lips and a face that was not his own. In fact it felt...
She glanced down at the breasts, screaming. A woman? A freaking woman? She touched her breasts hesitantly. She had lost so much height and had become incredibly skinny. The breasts looked quite large on her. She could see a deep valley of a clivage as she glanced down. She felt disgust and bile in her stomach. She wanted to throw up but was too panicked. The feeling of a breeze on her bare legs and feet made her cringe as she unsteadily tried to get up. She didn't even comprehend the clothing her transformation gave her, or the green hair...
she was like a drunk, as she saw she was about to hit the lawn again! She shielded her face in her arms, trying to block the fall... a fall that never came.
What the hell?
She was confused as anything at that point. Maybe this was just a dream? She wanted to wake up, but it all felt so real... She tried to speak but whatever she spoke wasn't English. Maybe she could say her name?
"An ne za Ka raz!"
What in the name of God happened! Was she being pulled by some kind of string? She couldn't feel anything holding her though. It was like the entire world's gravity had completely shifted. No matter what she did she couldn't quite rise up to a standing position. Her feet were not touching the ground, but they were touching 'something'. To her at the moment, this "was" standing. her struggles made something at the top of her head bob up and down. Whatever it was, it was incredibly distracting.
She needed a mirror!
She saw Jay.. and attacked. It felt good to try, and so hollow to fail.
Jay Watched her impassively, easily dodging her. Her fox body was practically impossible to hit she realised. She thought she had seen enough by now... She didn't really feel like enjoying this 'too' much. Anderson had become something very... very strange. Even by the usual standards. Still she felt she should give one piece of advice to the new girl.
Anderson looked at Jay with shock horror, straining her head upwards to meet the fox woman's gaze. "CHASKRY!" She shouted at her.
Jay inwardly grinned. "Just thought you should know, your showing an awful lot under there, hovering like that. Sorry to be a bother, bye bye," Jay walked away whistling a tune, as the sun shed its final light and a rush of darkness descended.
Anderson's jaw gaped open. Jay was right- she again tried to strain herself upwards but couldn't. What was worse, this weird gravity didn't seem to affect her bust. Each orb hanged loosely, under the influence of normal gravity. The dress she wore kept them from moving around too much, but it was noticeably distracting, and would probably be a pleasure for any male to see.
She had to get out of here! She made her plan to get to her car, and drive back to her house to work something out later.
She tried to run to the car park. Each step she took, was still in that weird angle, displaying her assets. If she were to guess, walking had become akin to 'climbing'. she took each stride as quickly as she could. Fortunately, she didn't see anyone.
Where are her keys?!
She tapped her clothings looking for her possessions... relieved to find a pouch. She was at eye level to the key hole, as she put the key in. Entering the car was easy, but she found she couldn't actually 'sit' in the seat properly. Attempting to lean her back into the seat, she was still at a low angle. She adjusted the seat making it go all the way back, and finally got into a more appropriate position.
Her bare feet however couldn't work the pedals!
Cursing once more she locked up the car... there was no choice. She would have to walk home. She silently prayed nobody would see her.
Alex started the night side school, as always. It was... boring. A boring class. Only his goal at the end of the night, was keeping him excited. What would he find? Would they react badly to human curiosity? Somehow he was optimistic about it.
Part of him wondered why he was doing this. It wasn't really a feeling he could clarify to himself. He had scouted a hiding place. A rarely used stationary cupboard. An empty box was there to hide in. While the school changed over, he would go in there, and come out to rest a few hours later. It should work! He even had a way to barricade himself in so that nobody could open the door unnecessarily.
He would be in his class room, and take a look around during the day. With the windows open, if he timed things right, it should still be okay. The sun might be dangerous, but its light was predictable in where it went at different times of the day. He had meticulously planned a route and timed it for each hour that the suns exposure would go.
This will work!
Brittany glanced curiously at the boy... she knew his name. Alex. She wondered the class, looking to each of the human students. Not a single one of them could see her. Of course, none of them were the changed, so lacked the eyes to see her.
However, she could tell Alex was up to something. She did not know what. She had observed him looking at each aspect of the school, as well as a hiding place... she even had a ghostly presence near his sister, who also seemed to have knowledge of something he was to do. A bit concerned, she drew her face into Alex's bag, but could find nothing insidious.
You are a curious boy, aren't you? She spoke in an inaudible voice, right into his ear.
She liked him...
Anderson had finally, made it back to her house. The journey back was fortunately, not as bad as she imagined. A few people gave her odd looks, but it looked like a lot of people were used to the strange. Some looked with a degree of sympathy. However, she did get a few guys looking just a bit too long at her for comfort.
Stupid body!
She craned her neck to look at the mirror on a wall. The girl in the mirror was...weird. She had no basis for comparison. Green hair? Who had green hair! She finally saw those... things on her head. Some kind of antenna? There was also a strange headband thing on her. She was a freak! She half envied Jay's transformation at this point.
She tried to pull the headband off, but it wouldn't budge. Angrily she tried to pull off the antenna feeling they were also quite stuck. She tried to feel for where the antenna were attached to, finding them going under her skin... this more then anything started to make her panic. Something weird was stuck and probably going right through her brain! She had to get rid of these things! She had to get rid of these clothes!
The phone then rang. Automatically Anderson tried to answer it.
"Yunah?" She spoke.
"Anneza?" The phone call replied.
Oh crap... She couldn't even talk to him! It was part of a new contract he was making for the station. "Yunah! Anneza Karaz!" The girl was almost sobbing on the phone now.
"Zkwos kajr kasors," the voice replied and the line went dead.
Anderson put the phone down... as it rang again. She ignored it. She just... couldn't face talking to anyone right now. Not that she could. She might as well be mute.
She tried to think... what would she do now? She couldn't do her job any more... not like this. She had lost the ability to talk. Her language was incomprehensible. She looked at her house. It was fancy... the house of a station owner. It was still under mortgage though, and had a few more years payment on it. She was going to lose her job! She was going to lose the house! .... She lost... everything.
She returned to the task of making a plan. First thing was to stop looking so freaky... She thought of her appearance from top to bottom. Green hair had to go... that meant hair dye, of which there was plenty of in the bathroom. The antenna might be tricky. Maybe she could cut them off with some scissors? They were not part of her.. just things 'attached'... right? She 'climbed' to her cupboard, finding a jumper and loose pants that should at least offer some feeling of her old self back.
She nodded that at least these small things would offer a measure of comfort as she attempted to take off her dress.
