Adora was really enjoying this.

She didn't know why, but the angel girl felt like such a good person to tease. Was it because she looked like a devil? She wasn't sure. She had been teasing a lot of people, but there was something about this one in particular. The devil girl started playing with David's halo, poking and prodding the light, trying to see if it would do anything.

"Please stop that," Sighed David.

"How does it stay above your head?" Adora asked inquisitively. The timbre of her voice was enough to make David blush.

"I- Don't know. It just does."

"Cute..." the devil-girl giggled, her tail swishing a little.

"Is your name 'really' Adora?" David asked bluntly.

The devil-girl giggled again. "Like I said... that's what you may call me" she winked.

David was not prepared for that. Still she could probably find out her real name eventually. Maybe the teacher knew... she gasped slightly as one of her sisters decided at that point to scratch her chest. She was starting to get used to the more 'normal' sensory input from the others... feeling five other feet walking whenever class changed wasn't quite so distressing any more. Lunch time was still weird. Feeling five other mouths eating the same canteen food was... distracting. It certainly didn't make the food taste any better. But the slightly larger things like someone scratching, or rubbing an eye, that was still weird.

The devil girl noted her wince with a very curious expression. She poked her in the leg with her tail.

"Oh- hey!" The angel looked annoyed.

The devil girl looked very nonchalant. As if she didn't mean it. "Mm... I'm having trouble with this assignment... shall we work on it together?" She giggled.

"Um. Sure... just- watch that tail of yours."

"Anything you say sweetie."

Zoe was annoyed. Distracted by Harry, late to lunch, she found there was very little 'good' food left. "Who ate all the mashed potatoes?" She asked the lunch lady.

The lunch lady was a kangaroo type humanoid. "Seems students need to eat more," she said. "We'll get more in tomorrow... I have some other things you can have." She gave out some peas, and a bit of chicken.

Zoe looked at it very unenthusiastically. "Thanks..." 'thanks a lot Harry,' she sighed. Just why did she get stuck into these things? She looked around for Athena. The Scorpion girl was not hard to miss.

"Hello Zoe!" She smiled.

"Hi there..." the slime girl nodded back. "Looks like I got the left overs today."

"Why were you late?" asked Athena.

"Urgh... just some stuff. Nothing important." she tried to swallow the food, as it got stuck inside her slimy form. It slowly disintegrated, and Athena watched it with curiosity.

"Let me guess. Harry?"

"yeah, she's turning into a real needy-needy sort" she shook her head. In her mind, that was the worst kind of person. "How the hell am I supposed to answer questions like that?"

"Like what?" Athena lowered her scorpion body.

"Oh.. nothing." She respected Harry enough to at least be warranted some privacy in her identity crisis.

"Where is she anyway? I don't see her in the dinner hall. Actually, I've not seen her for quite a while." The girl had a knack for disappearing.

"Enough about her..." This was becoming a sore subject to the slime girl. "I'm more curious at how your doing. What's it like?"

"This body? Actually... its fun" She smiled a bit. "It can be a pain, and having my stinger above my head is kind of... strange. Its a bit like having a third leg twisting upward and above you."

"That must be weird."

"Yes... its also quite venomous. I can actually feel it..." She sighed. "I also have to eat a lot. This body needs a great deal of energy."

"Your not the only one I think. There's a lot of people like that now." she nodded glancing around. Still there were also a few that needed substantially less food.. so it mostly evened out.

"Deciding what to wear is a bit tricky sometimes. I'm still the same... from the waist up anyway. I still have my hands too. Sometimes it feels like this body is carrying 'me' around... especially when I don't think about it."

"You mean your moving instinctively?" She enquired curiously.

"Yep. If I try to consciously control my eight legs, I tend to fall over. It works better if I don't think. But then its almost like I'm disconnected." The scorpion girl looked down at her form a little concerned. "When I first changed, I was actually sleep walking for a while. I don't mind telling you that was just freaky."

"Yikes. Well keep your phone close. Call me if stuff like that happens." Zoe said concerned.

"No problem..."

Jay paused again.

The smell of garbage was just too difficult to track now. Everyone's garbage smelled just about the same on this block. Besides she was starting to sneeze.

"A-choo!" she quickly blew her nose.

If she ever made enough money, she would love to live here. She was still feeling something just a bit weird. It was like... Hmm... there was a breeze, but she could sense it was not wind. She knew that because, it was not carrying any of the scent she had just sensed, despite it coming from behind her. She turned again, trying to pick up this strange... wind.

She could feel it drop a little... beyond human sense. It was fortunate she was not human...

She walked a little more... until she was practically standing still, to where the very tiny trail of wind existed.

A crack...

A tiny crack, hovering in the air. With a tiny hole, no bigger then the width of a hair. It was hovering so far above there was no chance for anyone to stumble into it accidentally. So tiny..

Her fox ears twitched. Her body suddenly felt a flare of instinct. She was being watched... hunted... someone was trying to sense her! She railed in the instincts, able to bring her human senses to the fore. This was not the time to panic... she could vaguely hear voices...

Close it down-

Jay stared at the crack just... disappeared. It winked out of reality like it wasn't there.

That was... very strange. She sniffed a little around the area, but couldn't detect it any more.
