No one was speaking until Raimi said "I'm glad that you're safe." He was sitting across from me. Eyo and Koma earned the right to sit on either side of me. Cacht was an enigmatic shadow across from me sitting at the opposite window from Raimi. Him speaking gathered the attention of the others. "If you were so concerned, you could've came after him like the others did." Cacht said. "He was there to finish things if we couldn't." Eyo said. There was a pause before Koma leaned closer to me and said "If we did well, maybe you can consider mating with us as our reward." "You haven't mated with your concubines? Why do you have them around then?" Cacht asked. I just shrugged and said "They proved their worth to me and I wanted to keep them around. That's it." "It's easy enough for us to just sit around and look important." Eyo said with a small shrug. It did not take much longer before we got to the capitol of Skigh Kingdom. The guards let us in when they learned who we were. Once we were in the city proper, the carriage took us to the keep. Father Conrad was waiting for us and waved.
Once I left the carriage, he approached and brought me closer to him. My concubines were off on the side and stayed there. "We have a few important guests coming for the ceremony." he said in a very hushed voice. "Who is even coming to this thing?" I whispered back. The King of Verdantis and his 3 sons, the King and Queen of Azulia and the crown prince, the 2nd prince and 4th princess of Igniso, and an ambassador from Luxun were all going to be there. All of these big names must be looking for a good alliance or sussing out whether or not we would be a good target for an invasion. It would be a bad decision, but one that could happen. If it were up to me, I would just keep the ceremony to ourselves. That was also a really big selection for an assassin. I just hoped that things went well for us. If a brown, black or red robed assassin appeared, it would be a really bad thing for anyone who could not fight. At the very least I knew that I would be okay. I had an assassin of my own to protect me. There was also my three other concubines. They were now level 25. I would have to reward them.
I waved my arms and all 4 of my concubines came over. "You met some foreign friends along the way?" he asked. I explained the situation to him and he grew pale. "If a plot like this is truly the case, I think you should go tell everyone you think might be a target." he said. I nodded and accepted that mission from him. I then asked him if the plans for the seminary were coming along smoothly. He gained a bitter smile. "Just like with the matter of the concubines, there are many willing to subvert all of their teachings and the doctrines of the Faith in order to satisfy their own cultural degeneracy." he said. I said "Well there is no need to bring them into the clergy. I just hope you can find some non-degenerates soon. Otherwise the clergy will be spread too thin. Unless we import more from Ether." He shrugged and said "I had been thinking that myself. I know that it is better to have priests of your own kind preach to you, but the Church we're establishing here will fall to ruin if we entrust them with it." There was a lull in the conversation, and I used it to say my farewells to him. He just nodded at me.
