With our town and the new village, we had some territory under our control for the first time. I decided to take three of the Likins from our town. They were Sabira, Byryn, and Cedin. They were all level 43. While they all had the same lime green hair and eyes as Arbar, the saturation was low. It seemed to only get less pale by Bonding with other Likins. Mousse, Margaret, and Paul were in my party as well. It was our job to scout out a town for capture. I did not need any back up from the company. We all charged right in and began combat. As we fought, I was tackled by a red Likin. "We aren't scared of you Barbarian!" he said. He then glowed with a familiar dull shine. It was a tingling sensation that ran all throughout my body. It was then that I could feel the burning hatred he had pierce my heart. "I am going to absorb you and take your power and there is nothing you can do about it, bitch!" he said. I just scoffed as he pressed closer. I got a popup telling me he wanted to Bond. I obviously declined. He screamed as if stabbed. "Fine! If I can't absorb, I'll destroy you from the inside." he yelled.
The red Likin then disappeared and entered my body. My whole body felt as if it was on fire. I swayed from the pain before my vision went black. "What type of a hateful void is this shit!?" I heard. I blinked my eyes open and I saw that dumb Likin looking around in terror. "There's no light at all here!" he snapped as he finally noticed me. It certainly did not look cool. A dark void was intimidating, but I wish it looked better. I still had access to all of my weapons. I drew my greatsword and approached. He tried to back away. The writing was on the wall. "Wait! I-I'll leave! You don't have to worry about me Bonding with you anymore!" he begged. The popup to stop bonding came up, but I declined. It would be easier to just kill him and be done with it. "W-why can't I leave!?" he demanded in panic. "You are going to become a part of me." I said with a smile. I then proceeded to chase him around the void as I hacked and slashed at him. He still had his powers, but I was already used to them. He was only a weak commoner. His small flames were nothing in comparison to that of a trained soldier's fire.
Once he was dead, I was able to leave when I chose. Before leaving, I watched as his body dissolved into a single light. That light rose to the sky of the void providing, at most, a dull light. It was like a single candle in the pure darkness. It was only our Bond that allowed us to see each other. When I next blinked, I was back in the town. He was gone. The fight was over. Sabira, Byryn, and Cedin were all absorbing the surviving Igniso residents by force. They screamed and cried as they were snuffed out. In a way, it was much crueler than outright putting them to the sword and killing them. The Verdantis Likin were freed and given the same speech that Arbar gave last time. I could see that they would agree to anything from the three Likin saviors. That was great. Some of them asked to Bond with them. They agreed and they got together. It took a few hours before they were satisfied enough to let us leave. They used both their plant magic and their new found fire powers willy nilly. We had to dodge them all playing around like idiots on more than one occasion. It was all for the good alliances.
