My party went in a random direction. I decided to learn more about the others in the party. There was Sir Mousse, Sir Otto, Dame Margaret, Dame Anne, and Sir Doran. I could tell that they were a bit wary with me. I was a not a human and yet I was there as their commander. That might be a problem. Since they were all from Arkton, we were technically countrymen. Sir Otto was even from Ablinas City. That allowed me to start some conversation with them. We were having a good time until we heard a scream. It sounded as though someone was in mortal danger. We stopped and looked around to see where it was coming from. Finding it, we charged in at full speed. At the moment, all we cared about was getting there in time. There was a small village and we went inside slowly, but with purpose. Making our way to the center, we saw a group of creatures surrounding a trio of other creatures. The aggressive force had ink black skin. The hair and eyes were all a pale red hue. The ones that were on the ground shared the same skin. However, they had a paler green color for their hair and eyes.
When we made ourselves known, they all stopped what they were doing. The red creatures turned and looked at us. "What are you creatures!?" one of them demanded of us. They all had a combination of true fear and disgust on their faces. "That is what we want to ask you!?" Anne shit back. "We are the part of the Igniso Royal army. If you must know, our mission is to subjugate and take the power of this village." I looked at the green creatures. "Are you villains or rebels? Or are you just peasants? Why are they trying to kill you?" I asked. The eldest of them scoffed and said "If they just want to kill us, that would be fine with me. These butchers want to absorb us all into themselves and dissolve us so that our powers will be used to further take more and more land from Verdantis Kingdom." We then looked at the red creatures. "The glory of Igniso Kingdom will not be questioned. You should be grateful that your lives will be used to take us to supremacy on the continent." the leader said. The party looked to me for orders. "Men. We will be rescuing this village. Secure all the green creatures." I said.
All of us sprung into action and the cavalry knights pulled out lances and pole arms as the charged in. I had my greatsword. We galloped to engage them. 9 of them in total were what we could see at the moment. The invading red creatures spewed tongues of flame from their mouths and hands or hurled baseball sized fireballs at us. A challenge for the horses for sure. We dodged them as best as we could. The three green creatures were all bound in the center. I slashed at them with my sword and bucked with my hind legs to hit the creature that tried to flank me from behind. We were making good progress with the initial charge on them, but they were a pretty well trained group of soldiers too. The others backed off to ready themselves for a second charge. I did not need any of that. I continued to hack and slash until the ones near me were dead. As for the ones that I had gotten a good distance from, I threw my javelins at them. With the second charge, the squad was dead. We then went to the bound villagers and freed them. They all looked warily up at us. "What are you!?" one asked.
