With that act of blatant defiance, there was not much that could be done. The rest of us began to sit down at random places as well. Since there was no way to dislodge us without some extreme violence in their own lounge, they were forced to deal with the fact we were there. The ones that were fine with this, or simply just did not want to deal with it just went back to lounging separately from us. The busybodies and self righteous ones among them were the ones that got more and more agitated as time went on. There were 13 agents in the lounge and Kody and Darcy were in one of the offices. 7 of the 13 were already back to lounging or going back to work in their own offices. 2 others were uneasy and glance towards us as they tried to talk to each other. It was clear from them shaking that they were going through some things in that moment. The other 4 of them were saber rattling and trying to goad us to fight. Carter, Levi and 2 others called Ashton and Matthew were doing just that. The Crystal Elf said "Stop yapping. Any one of us here can kill you without even trying." That really riled them all up.
Yelling in anger an adult burst in the way. "Kody! Why the fuc-" he called out before stopping his tracks. Everyone was looking at him. He was right looking at us. "Kody! I want you to get your ass out of here right now and explain this shit!" Kody came out of the office he was in and said "Is something wrong, boss? I was writing my report for the mission." The boss said "Why the fuck are the xenomorphs here and not in the cells? I told you to put them there this morning, right?" Kody shrugged. "They didn't want to go. It's in my report." he said, turning his head to his office. "And what do you think you should do if someone resists arrest? You are a cop!" the boss snapped at him. Kody looked uneasy as he said "Oh no. I'm too cute to die. One agent against 15 xenomorphs isn't good odds you know. Everyone else can tell you how they behaved while I was in the office with Darcy." "You'll be sure that Darcy was not writing the report for you, understand." the boss said. Kody flinched tellingly and said "Sir, yes sir." He then hurried and went back into his office. Darcy was shooed out the office soon after.
Going off of that encounter, Kody was the sunshine of the office, but also a bit of a slacker. It was good to know. Someone could use that information to their advantage. I might be able to finagle something. The boss sighed very deeply as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Levi. Where the hell is Lincoln!?" he asked. Levi shrugged and said "He's probably still on the beach with the foreigners. There were hundreds of them." The boss raised an eyebrow. "So these were all the xenomorphs among them?" he said as he looked at us. "Yeah. We didn't do anything wrong, so we weren't going to be locked up in a dungeon somewhere." Paul said. "Great. So what do you think we should do with you?" he asked mockingly. Brett said "Let us join you and the MPAX or something. We fought that tentacle monster." "No way. We aren't going to let a bunch of xenomorphs get UNS generators. Forget it already." Carter said. The boss rubbed his chin. "You wanna join us, huh? I might let you on if you can prove your worth. Ashton, Levi, Matthew, Carter, Lachlan. They are going to spar with you. Win and you're in."
