Ryan, more infuriated than ever, charged towards Jayla, his arms swinging. This time, he was able to make contact with her, but it was a very strange feeling, like moving through molasses. And when he tried to get away from her, it felt like he was stuck. So much so that it became incredibly hard to breathe.
"What's going on?!" he yelled, panicking.
Jayla just stood there, apparently not caring about Ryan's predicament.
"Stop this," Iwalani said, stepping forward. "We all know that you're higher beings than us. We understand the plan. You don't need to demonstrate it for us."
Buffy made a disinterested sound, then said "Very well." She obviously didn't like being told what to do by a lesser being. But Iwalani had a point. Buffy nodded at Jayla, who then released Ryan. The man in green fell to the ground, panting for air.
Before Ryan's rage had a chance to come back, Sonja ran towards him and pulled him away from the Blues. It was best for him to keep his distance. Maybe he was right about the sabotage, maybe he was wrong, but it didn't do any good to confront the Blues about it.
