Meanwhile downstairs Jon's father Roger, had finished cleaning up after dinner and had told Mikey to go upstairs and do his homework.

Roger then joined his wife Linda in the living room. Paying no attention to what was on the tv he sat down on the sofa next to his wife. Getting comfy he then curled his legs underneath him and then reached over and picked up one of Linda's magazines that were on the coffee table and started reading.

While this was going on Linda had been texting her friends. They were planning a girls night for tomorrow. They intended to hit the town and then go on a bar crawl. The usual kind of stuff.

"Hey babe." Linda said looking up from her phone. "Me and a couple of the girls were planning a girls night tomorrow."

Roger put down his magazine and pouted. "But I thought that we were going to spend the evening together." He said sadly.

"Shit." Linda swore to herself. She had forgotten about that. "Honey. I'm sorry, I forgot." She said apologising to him. Then an idea came to her.

"Hey babe. How about I make it up to you?" She suggested. "Why don't we go out on Friday? The kids can order a pizza or something and then we can go out for a nice romantic meal just the two of us."

Roger seemed to brighten up at the suggestion. "That sounds lovely dear. But promise me that you won't forget."

Linda made a motion on her phone and then looked up. "It's in my diary. I promise." She said winking at him.

Roger laughed a little and then he snuggled up to Linda and rested his head on her shoulders.

"Why don't you invite the guys?" Linda asked. Roger looked at her.

"What?"

"Tomorrow. While we're out you could invite the guys over."

"That sounds like a good idea." Roger replied. He pulled his own phone out and started a group chat with his friends and asked if they wanted to come.

Immediately all of them replied and started coming up with ideas for what they could do.

Roger laughed. "Sounds like it's on." He told his wife.
