Jon headed upstairs and found Zoe raiding his closet. "What's going on here?"
"I needed something to wear," Zoe said.
"What's wrong with your closet?" Jon asked her.
"I'm just looking for something new, okay?" She said, already wearing one of his t-shirts and a pair of jeans. She left her heavy boots behind in favor of a pair of his sneakers.
"What is with everyone today?" Jon remarked.
"What is with you? A few girls hold the door for some boys, Mom and I get haircuts, and you are acting like its a national crisis. Jeeze...boys are so emotional sometimes."
"Mom!!" Jon called.
His mother came running. "What is it?" she asked.
"Zoe is taking my clothes."
"Well, she looks good in them...much better than that Goth stuff she was wearing." Zoe smiled, as if she'd won an argument.
"But..."
"But nothing...if the only thing your sister wants to wear that looks halfway normal is from your closet, let her," his mother said firmly. "I'll buy you some new clothes."
Jon was starting to get upset. Weird was one thing, but he couldn't let his little sister get the better of him. "But..."
"But nothing," she said, firmly.
Zoe seemed rather satisfied with the outcome.
