"Good morning Bill." Rebecca Fine called out to the principal as they entered the school. The principal, Bill Casey smiled at her and then looked at his watch.
"Good morning Rebecca. You're in early." He noted as they entered the building together.
"Yes well I've got a lot of appointments today so I thought that I'd come in early and get everything set up." Rebecca explained. The principal nodded.
"So how's Alex doing?" Bill asked. "Is he settling into his new school ok?"
"Oh he's doing fine thank you." Rebecca replied smiling. "He's already made a few new friends. Such lovely girls they are."
"That's good to hear." Bill said as they entered the staff room. Bill placed his suitcase on one of the tables and then when to turn the coffee machine on.
"How are things with your kids?" Rebecca asked trying to be polite but really wanting to find out how much progress she was making.
"Oh trouble as usual." Bill said chuckling. "Emily is such a handful. We're hoping to find a suitable play group for her so that Peter can have some rest."
Rebecca nodded as she took the cup of coffee that Bill had offered her.
"My wife's amazing you know?" Bill said pausing to think about his family. "Peter does all the housework and looks after Emily and yet some how he looks just as beautiful as the day I met him." He sighed. "I don't know how he does it."
Rebecca laughed. "Well we do have our ways at keeping ourselves looking young." She said smiling at him. Bill laughed as well.
"I'll let you get on with your day Rebecca." Bill told her as he picked up his suitcase and headed to his office.
Rebecca nodded in return and sat there for a while smiling at her work before she got up and left for her own office.
