The next morning Abby woke up to her alarm. She had set it earlier than usual as she needed to get in to the routine of waking the kids up before breakfast. As she sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes she thought back to yesterday.
It had all happened so fast that it still felt weird that they actually had kids now. Sure she was excited and happy to have been accepted by the adoption agency but it still felt weird and she had to pinch herself to make sure that she wasn't dreaming.
Getting up from the bed she pulled on a silk robe and then went out in to the hallway. She first peeked in to Ollie's room. "Yep, definitely not a dream." She thought to herself.
Abby crept quietly towards Ollie's bed before gently shaking her. "Ollie sweetie, it's time to wake up." She smiled as she watched Ollie sit up.
"Morning honey." She said. "Morning mommy!" Ollie replied.
"Time to get up." Abby told her. "Do you need help getting dressed?" She asked. Ollie shook her head.
"Ok sweetie. You get dressed and then you can have breakfast." Abby then left Ollie's room and then repeated the same process in Kristy's room.
Unlike Ollie, Kristy did need help getting dressed so Abby picked out his clothes for him deciding on a yellow dress and a white cardigan. She then chose a pair of yellow panties. (Kristy wasn't old enough for a bra yet).
Abby then helped Kristy get dressed and then took his hand as she led him downstairs for breakfast.
By the time Abby and Kristy entered the kitchen Martin and Ollie were already at the table eating breakfast.
"Hey kiddo!" Martin called as they entered the room. "Morning daddy!" Kristy greeted him as she sat down.
The Williams family had their breakfast and then got ready to head to the park.
"Here honey. Hold still." Abby said as they stood by the door ready to go out. She grabbed a brush and started to brush Kristy's blonde hair so that it was nice and neat. When Abby had finished his long hair fell neatly past his shoulders.
"Are we all ready?" Abby asked. Everyone nodded in response. "Right then. Let's go." She said as she picked up her purse.
