"Do you, like, mind if I walk you out of the park?" Lucy asked. "You know, to make sure you're OK?"
Jon shook his head. "Oh thank you." He said. "I was actually on my way to lunch. Would you like to join me?" He asked hoping she would say yes.
"I'd like that." Lucy said smiling at Jon who blushed again.
Jon and Lucy continued to walk toward Jon's car. The car that formely belonged to his mother.
As they walked Jon felt so secure with his big strong new friend. He enjoyed that feeling and the clicking of his shoes. He wore a pair of Linda's ballet flats and one of her skirts that he thought now belonged to him.
"Where would you like to eat?" Jon asked as he fished his mother's keys out of his purse.
"Oh I like Jill's, they have the best burgers Lucy replied. Jon knew that they also served salads and he would get one. He didn't want a greasy burger after all he had to watch his figure. Even though a couple of weeks ago the old Jon's favorite food was double cheeseburgers.
"I am so thankful you showed up when you did." Jon said as he slid into the drivers sit while adjusting his skirt and started the engine.
Lucy opened the passenger side and got in while also adjusting her cheerleading outfit.
"Yeah ladies like you need to be careful in that park. Lucy stated."Its really become a haven for thugs and criminals.
" That is so unfortunate." Jon continued. "I remember being a little girl and playing there..it was always safe."
Of course this was a memery inserted into Jon's thoughts from Miss Fine and her therapy sesssions.
As the car pulled away Jon asked Lucy what she was doing in the park. "Well I was on my way to football practice." Lucy replied.
"Well I just want to thank you again and I will gladly pay for your burger." Jon smiled at Lucy. The couple continued theire conversation all the way to Jill's burger hut.
