Eventually Jon called everyone minus Mikey to the table and he dished out the meal.
Karyn kept looking at everyone in disbelief. Jon was acting like a mom and was having a pleasant conversation with Zoe who he thought was his daughter and Linda was just moping at the table picking at her food like Jon normally did.
When dinner was finished Jon was about to start clearing up when the doorbell rang. "Kids?" He asked turning to look at them. "Why don't the three of you tidy up while I answer the door?" They all nodded and Jon got up.
Jon smiled as he answered the door and saw who it was. "Rebecca!" He said hugging her. "What a pleasant surprise." He said.
Rebecca stood there for a moment shocked at what she saw. Even she was surprised by Jon's transformation since she had last seen him. Rebecca quickly regained her composure.
"Well, I was in the neighbourhood and I'd thought that we'd stop by." She said.
At the mention of "we" Jon noticed someone holding Rebecca's hand. It was Alex.
"Oh hello" Jon said smiling at Alex. "You're looking very pretty my dear." He said taking note of Alex's outfit.
His blonde hair was tied into pigtails and he wore a pink dress with a white cardigan over it and he wore black Mary Janes.
"Thank you." He said shyly.
Rebecca laughed. "This is my daughter Alex." She said. "I'm afraid he's rather shy."
Jon nodded in understanding then he turned to Alex. "Don't worry dear. I won't bite." He said laughing. "How old are you?" He asked.
"10." Alex replied in the way kids do when asked their age.
Jon nodded. "I have a son the same age as you." He said. "Unfortunately he's rather I'll at the moment but I'm sure he would like to be friends with you.
Alex nodded.
"Oh, where are my manners?" Jon asked out loud. "Do come in." He said showing them in.
"I must say Jon that outfit really suits you." Rebecca said as she entered the house with Alex in tow.
"You think so?" Jon asked as she nodded. "There was a sale on at the mall and I just couldn't resist." He said.
"Well you certainly have a great taste in fashion." Rebecca replied. "I can see where Zoe gets it from." Jon blushed again.
