Karyn met Zoe outside school. She marveled at her different the girl looked. Not just not dressed the same, but her body language and demeanor. They started walking toward home.
"Why don't you want to be one of us, Karyn?" Zoe said. "We had a bunch of girls in the gym a few minutes ago who would give their right arm to join us. Why not you?"
"How long have you been a cheerleader again?" Karyn said.
"A while now," Zoe said. "It seems like forever."
"Zoe...do you remember not being a cheerleader?"
