As he was talking to me, Cecus yelped out in pain. We looked over and could not believe what we were seeing. The one behind him had stuck him in the rump with a fat syringe. Whatever fluid that was inside the syringe had already been injected. The young centaur fell over on his side. Before either of us could do anything to help him, the other shot a blowdart at his father. He went down just as quickly. "I told you that I knew what I was fucking doing when I got this from the zookeeper." one of the men said. The other one stood up from where he was crouching and said "Yeah yeah. Whatever! I didn't doubt you. I thought that the keeper was a fucking creep. You know he has a lion girlfriend, right?" He then turned to me. "What are we going to do with the kid?" he asked the other. He looked at me for a moment. "Get out of here kid. You don't wanna stay and see what we are going to do." he said. "What are you going to do?" I asked them nervously. He pulled out a butterfly knife. "We are sick and tired of all these 'taurs. Someone needs to cull the population. Keeping them from breeding should work."
If I fought two grown men with knives, I was going to lose easily. The buff for being a jock only went so far. I decided to run in a tactical retreat for now. I went back to the bathrooms and hid behind it. I had to check the cheat menu. After thinking for a moment, I decided my course of action. I put in the cheat for getting superpowers, even in settings where they are not in use. Once I entered it the cheat, I was given a menu. I could chose the power and the level of strength it would have. Each of the powers had 10 levels. After that, there was Legendary, Mythic and Godly Awakenings. Each awakening allowed you to raise the value for the stats in a certain category to the second power. I decided to give myself the best power by far: Bestow Power. It asked me what level I wanted it. I did Godly Awakening. The five categories for all the powers were: Range, Power, Duration, Damage and the length of the Cooldown. I put two levels in each category. That meant I could grant powers to those within a foot of me. The powers were 2 times as strong as naturally occurring powers. That was just the start.
My granted powers took 9 minutes to bestow. They lasted 10 days and the damage did 2 times as much damage. The cooldown before I could bestow another power to someone was 4 and a half hours. Now it was time for my manifested Awakenings. The first was to the Power. Next was the Duration. For the Godly Awakening I chose the Cooldown. That meant the powers would transfer within 24 seconds, be 4 times as strong, and come with a nice cooldown of 2 hours, 5 minutes and 51 seconds. It would have to do. I then used the power to bestow the power of Mass Suggestion to myself. Most regularly occurring powers had the rule of five. If not, something got a boost to 10 or 1. For example, Mass Suggestion had a range of 5 feet, could enthrall up to 5 people, lasted 5 minutes, did 5 psychic damage every 5 seconds of resisting the power and had a 5 hour cooldown period. With the buffs of the Bestow Power, Mass Suggestion was upgraded even though it was only level 1. I could hear them punch and kick the downed centaurs in the background. They were both in real danger here.
