What she was doing was hunting down every pair of jeans, every pair of shorts, every pair of slacks that Jon owned. Once done with the dresser, she moved to the closet. And after that, she even rummaged through his dirty laundry pile, all the while denying Jon even the courtesy of a response to his periodic questioning.
And, still wordlessly, once she was convinced that she had collected every pair of pants that Jon owned, Sarah opened his bedroom door and walked out, leaving Jon to lie on his bed and stew in his own thoughts.
Once in the hallway, door securely closed behind her, Sarah let her mask drop as she practically squealed with glee. This was working so well! Now she just needed--
A sound from downstairs distracted her. There were other people home. This could be a problem. But fortunately, underneath the pile of teenage boy leg apparel that she was carrying, Sarah was holding a magical wishing stone.
"I wish everyone who lives in this house except for Jon would suddenly find a reason to be out of the house for the next hour."
Sarah took a few seconds to wait for the effects of the wish to initiate, and was rewarded by the sound of the front door opening and closing several times. It was like waiting for microwave popcorn to finish popping, she just stood there listening until she was sure the last person had left.
But now she had to somehow dispose of all of these pants. Unlink them from Jon. She could throw them in the garbage? But wouldn't they still be "his" until the garbage truck came? She could burn them. But that could get really ugly really quickly.
Then she remembered what had happened when she gave Jon her bra, and a wicked smile crept up from behind an armful of clothing.
"I wish that any time I place an item of clothing inside a closet in this house, that it will be as though the owner of that closet had always owned the article of clothing in the first place."
The stone flashed, and Sarah turned to look down the hallway. Now who, exactly, was going to inherit all of Jon's pants?
