(Author's Note: I enjoyed this, but I always think of Miss Fine as more subtle...so I adjusted a bit in that direction.)
"Karyn is in the way of what I want," Sarah said finally.
Miss Fine smiled at that. She could identify with that. Because she herself was used to getting what she wanted no matter who was in the way.
"So what would you do if Karyn was out of your way?" Miss Fine asked.
Sarah seemed surprised. "You can do that?" She asked.
"I'm not saying that. I am just asking."
"Well," Sarah said pausing to think about. "I don't want her to disappear or anything like that."
Miss Fine laughed. "Oh don't worry dear! I wouldn't dream of doing anything like that and I would stop you if I thought you were." Sarah seemed to relax a bit.
"Good," she said. "Because I'd like us to still be friends." Sarah said.
Miss Fine nodded. "I can understand that Sarah. After all she seems to be the only one who has been friendly to you recently hasn't she?"
Sarah nodded.
"Don't worry Sarah. Just continue what you are doing...I think things will work themselves out. But maybe I will have a talk with Karyn at some point. I have not yet had the pleasure."
Sarah smiled.
"Thank you Miss Fine." She said and then she got up and left the office.
