(Author's Note: Wanted to try a rewrite on this slightly...it seemed to have a few things that bothered me that I think I can clear up.)
"Send him home. I'll deal with him later." The voice said.
Jon woke up and looked around. He was back in his room. Jon sat up and realised that he had a headache. Jon got out of bed and headed downstairs one hand clutching his head.
Jon tried to remember what had happened, but the memories were so vague that he wasn't sure if he had just dreamt them. He remembered two voices discussing what to do with him but that was about it. He hoped they were a dream,
"Oh honey! You're awake." His mom said from the living room as she spotted him. "Are you OK?" She asked.
Jon shook his head. "I have a headache." He explained.
"Hold on a second." His mom said. She got up and went to the kitchen and returned with some aspirin.
As he took it, the doorbell rang. and his mother answered it. It was a youngish woman. "Can I help you?" She asked.
"I'm Miss Fine...I'm the new guidance counselor at your son's school. You must be Mrs. Gibson, and that must be Jon..." she offered a hand.
"Ummm...hi..." Jon said, confused. Since when did guidance counselors make house calls? Since when did anyone?
However, his mother seemed to be fine with it.
"Since when do guidance counselors come to your house?" Jon asked out loud.
"It's a new outreach program. You heard about it, I'm sure, Mrs. Gibson."
"Yes, I think I did hear something about that," Linda said, absently.
The woman smiled. Mrs Gibson was one of the majority...unlike Jon. "I'm just here to help." Assuming the identity of a new employee at Jon's school was the perfect way to observe and influence him and his family.
"I'd like to meet with you privately, if I could, Mrs. Gibson."
