Jon chased after the black van, but lost it around a corner. Not surprising, considering he was on foot. Having no other options, he headed home and slipped back into bed.
He recounted this to Karyn in the morning. "Yesterday, you told me Sarah wasn't your sister," she said. "And that a bunch of weird guys came and redecorated your house. Today, you are saying you followed the same guys to another house, where they took someone named Biff away."
"You don't remember him either?"
"Unless you mean that guy from that old movie, Back to the Future, no. And you're saying that this girl who you say is your sister is now Zoe Meadows in his place?"
"Yes. What do you know about her?"
"She's Head Cheerleader," Karyn said. "She's really competitive. Hates losing anything."
"Zoe...is a cheerleader? I have to see this..." he insisted.
"You and her haven't exactly been friends."
"Is she always calling us losers or something?" He asked, thinking of the former head cheerleader.
"You, yes. She doesn't have a problem with me. Not sure why though."
He paused, spotting Zoe in the distance, apparently running to school. She seemed more...athletic. But the Meadows family was into sports in general. And not Goth in the slightest. Weird.
"Everything seems normal to me, but I'm taking your word on this, Jon-boy," Karyn said.
