"Whatever," Sarah said, waving her hand at Zoe dismissively. Then she continued on her way to school. As she walked away, she got this weird feeling, like she and that church girl had something in common, or did. But that was silly, right? Other than the fact that they were both girls, they were nothing alike.
Meanwhile, back at the warehouse, the workmen stood perfectly still, as they hadn't been activated yet. But they would be that night.
Tina woke up, finding herself in a well-lit room that kind of looked like a poor man's hospital room. She wasn't supposed to be awake. They hadn't even given her new memories yet. She tried to leave the room, but the door was locked.
So not knowing what else to do, she looked around the room to try to determine where she was. And that was when she got a glimpse of herself in a wall-mounted mirror. She stopped walking by, turned around, and faced the mirror.
"What the ..." she started, then just stared at her reflection, not believing what she was seeing.
