"Well, I could just tell you," Karyn said. "She pretends to be all religious and stuff, but I know she's really not all that righteous."
"What do you mean?" Jon asked.
"I caught her smoking once. I have a feeling her parents wouldn't be too happy if they found out, being a church family and all. She's kind of a rebel."
Same old Zoe. Even as part of a different family, she was still rebellious. Although not to the extent of being a Goth apparently. Maybe the control her new parents have over her had diminished her desire to act out more obviously. Tina, by comparison, was timid and impressionable. Maybe that was why she so easily gave into her parents' lifestyle, and into having Nadine Ferguson as a friend. But what would Tina be like as a different person? If she was the one who was missing, that meant that she would be replacing someone else soon, right?
