"I did just have a bad breakup," Adele reminded her. She was about to continue when she noticed someone watching her and paused. She paused, looking at Jon and Karyn. "Do you MIND? This is a private conversation."
"Sorry," Jon said. "We...were waiting to get by."
Adele rolled her eyes. "Well, did you think of trying Excuse Me?" She asked, pointedly, moving out of the way.
He looked at her for a long moment, then he and Karyn headed on their way.
Adele moved back to her original position. "Weird," she commented to Amber.
"Don't worry about that loser."
"I'm not...but the way he was looking at me..."
"He probably heard you were single. Every boy in school is probably thinking about asking you out. He probably knows you are out of his league," Amber said.
Adele nodded. Just, the expression gave her a funny feeling for a moment. She felt almost...self-conscious. She didn't remember feeling that way before.
