"See you there," Sabrina told Karyn, before she and Jon headed back to the hallway. They needed to find Tiffany to tell her the change in plans.
It was getting close to First Period. Either of them being out of class was going to mean attention.
They spotted Tiffany hurrying down the hall and were about to head after her when a bunch of cheerleaders crossed their path. They didn't seem to be deliberately blocking Karyn and Jon. It seemed more a crime of apathy than anything else.
It did allow Jon, for the first time, to see Adele. He'd seen the new exchange student a few times from a distance. They had a few of them in the school, after that complaint about lack of diversity. Adele had always seemed like she wanted to make friends and fit in. Apparently she'd gotten her wish.
