Suddenly, Jon heard a couple of familiar voices. They were, in fact, the voices that he remembered hearing when he recalled being strapped to a gurney.
They sounded far away, like down a hallway somewhere, but it was enough to cause Jon to hide behind a stack of crates.
Biff, unfortunately, wasn't quick enough, and he was quickly caught.
"Hey, you. Why are you awake?" one of the voices asked. Jon couldn't see who the person was because he was hiding.
"What the hell?" Biff asked, sounding stunned and disturbed. Jon wanted to see what he was looking at, but didn't want to be seen. So he stayed right where he was.
"Hold him," the voice said.
"Hey, cut that out!" Biff yelled.
"Don't worry. You won't remember any of this," the voice said. "In fact, when you wake up, you'll be like a new person."
And then there was silence, except for the sound of walking.
After a minute or so, Jon slowly came out from behind the crates and looked around. The workmen were still there, busily moving things, but that was all. Biff was gone, apparently taken away by the owners of those two voices, and probably changed in some way.
Jon wondered what he should do now. Should he find out where they took Tina? Or Biff? Or should he do something else?
