"You want the usual on the pizza," Sarah asked.
"Okay," he said, sitting down nearby. "What are you watching?" He asked, watching her closely.
"Some reality show," she said. She seemed...even more different than this morning. She looked more like family. Not only did she have brown hair, but she was starting to look a little like his mom.
She fiddled with her phone as she watched.
"How was your day?" Jon asked, curious despite himself.
"When did you start caring?" Sarah asked.
"Recently," he said, honestly.
"Well, it was kind of a weird day. I mean..." Sarah started to go on about how she was having trouble in math, because her teacher was SO boring, and she didn't want to get a bad grade because mom would kill her.
He hadn't thought Sarah even cared about grades, but Jon felt surprisingly comfortable with her. She was...acting like his sister. And when the pizza came, he discovered they had the same taste in toppings.
He went to bed conflicted. One of his worst enemies was a great member of the family, and Zoe...where was Zoe?
