"Jon, what's going on? Why is everyone acting so strange?" Karyn asked, standing up from the couch.
"I don't know. I accidentally made a wish for something interesting to happen. This isn't interesting. This is terrifying. And...I remember...someone took me, and I was tied down..." Jon said.
Karyn scowled. "So...you are responsible?"
"No...I don't think so. Someone or something is doing this." He paused. "I may have just caused them to do it to us...They could have existed already."
"I woke up in bed married to a stranger and your mom is my daughter," Karyn scowled.
"And I woke up married to Sarah," Jon said. "And everyone looks at me like I'm going nuts if I don't want to dress like a woman."
"What about the stone?"
"It's nowhere to be found," he said. "So far...I'd ask you to help me look, but if we get too close, I start acting..."
"Yeah," Karyn interrupted, in total agreement. "It's just...weird. I don't know anyone whose life is exactly like the one I woke up with...and it's not like you replaced your mom...it's like...mix and match pieces or something."
"I went to your house. Jay Duncan is there, dressed like your Mom, except he didn't recognize your name."
"Have you found anyone else?"
"My brother is his teacher...umm...I saw some people when I dropped the girls off at school, but...I don't think we're going to get any useful information from anyone...they just don't remember."
"Do you think anyone else does?"
"Well," Jon said, sitting down at the kitchen table. How did girls walk in these things? "Maybe...you weren't there when I made my wish and you remember."
"Maybe we need to find them."
"Have you noticed anything else weird?" Jon asked, thinking of his clothing changes.
"No..."
"What about your clothes?"
"Well, I had to put something on. And everyone thinks this is normal. I thought I'd better blend in. isn't that what you thought?"
