He wondered what he should do next. Go and change into something else, maybe just to humor his "family" so that he could maybe make them more comfortable for more of his questions? Or maybe search Laura's (his former) bedroom for the stone? If it was even in there. He needed to know what was happening.
He headed toward his bedroom. Noting was where he expected it to be. Everything seemed to be perfectly normal though. He checked where he'd hidden it, but it wasn't there. He tried a few other places. Nothing.
"Why are you messing up Laura's room?" Susan's voice said. "Are you going to take us to school or not?"
