Michelle woke up sick to her stomach, so she got out of bed and ran to the bathroom into one of the 6 stalls and put the seat up. Apparently 2 others were taken, based on the noises to her left and right. After a few minutes, her nausea calmed down. She left the stall to see Rika run into the stall while pulling down her PJ bottoms. Michelle heard a loud tinkling as she was washing her hands. Mrs Sato came out of a stall and came to another sink
"Morning sickness is terrible. I remember it as an inconvenience, but it took up most of my night. How are you feeling Michelle?"
"Like I ate a bad burrito, Mrs Sato."
"Call me Shion. Make sure to stretch your pelvis, although with your wide hips maybe you won't have problems. I saw you took off your bra last night, you may want to put it on when you are sleeping" said Shion as she left the bathroom. Rika came out of the stall a moment later.
"Pregnancy sucks. It's everything no woman or man ever wanted. I read about all this in Japan the first time, and it exactly like I hoped it wouldn't be," said Rika washing her hands, "any news from Jon?"
"I didn't check before I came in here. I'm sure you can relate. I'll go check now, " replied Michelle unconsciously rubbing her lower abdomen. She grabbed her phone and saw that Jon texted. She flagged down Rika and they read it.
"Hey Mikey. I've done some digging and it looks like there is magic at play where you are. To affect the necklace, it has be from the same magical source, like in this case the same pantheon of gods. Apparently, Ceres has her hand in your camp. You have a couple ways out of this. You can leave the camp or stop contact with the trigger of the magic. I'll try talking to her to see if she can make an exception for you and your friend Henry, but I can't make promises. Good luck and I hope that helps."
"He's talked about Greek gods like they exist," said Rika
"Maybe they still do. I mean, they made the necklace years ago, why wouldn't they be around?" asked Michelle. Just then there was a knock at the door.
"Hello ladies! I'm here to drop off your comfort supplies!" announced Robin coming into the cabin and putting stuff on each person's bed, "I have new bras for all of your with bigger straps, some bra pads and some herbs for nausea, constipation and the GI stuff you may be having now. It's time for breakfast, so come on over. It's dutch pancakes! See you there!" And with that Robin left the cabin.
"You heard the woman. I'm starved," announced Joan picking up the new clothing to put on.
"Don't have to tell me twice," echoed Rachel already slipping the pads into the bra.
Rika and Michelle put on their clothing, but didn't touch the new stuff, not sure what the trigger was. The 6 ladies went to the mess hall, to see what looked kind of like popovers. Michelle and Shion didn't eat much, but the others made up the difference. Robin came to their table and encouraged the 6 of them to enjoy some sports that are easier before they start showing too much, like tennis or basketball. Rika and Michelle wanted some privacy to do some thinking, but the other 4 insisted on round robin tennis. The 6 of them went to one of the tennis courts. Walking around with Rika, Joan and Katie made Michelle realize now many bathrooms were around. When she went into one feeling sick, she realized the number of stalls. It was then she realized much time pregnant women spend in a bathroom in the beginning.
The women played a few sets of tennis in various pairs of doubles. Joan apparently played in college. Another set of women from the new cabin zero came up to challenge them. Rika and Michelle asked about their cabin to see if there were any hints of a trigger, and just about everything was the same. When the pair went to the bathroom together, they brainstormed a bit. Was it the water? the beds? something in the air? Soon, the cabin mates got hungry, and went to the mess hall. They almost missed lunch of paranthas with fillings of spinach, potatoes, carrots or beans.
After lunch, Michelle was tired and took a nap
