Steven Kendall arrived by helicopter and was greeted by the man the general had assigned to get him, Lieutenant Anthony Thompson
Thompson saluted the man, dressed in a black suit and hat. The man did not return the salute. "The General assigned me as your liason, sir."
He nodded. "This is a serious situation, Lieutenant. Tell me about the prisoner."
"He knows the soldiers here. He is quite upset. He insists he is a Colonel. He knows codes, procedures...and he has been...transforming."
Kendall nodded. "I'll need to examine him, then I'll need to see the General."
"Yes, sir," he said, escorting him.
