Jay didn't know how it happened, but he was now wearing a red and brown wool sweater and a skirt. It was like something a girl would wear. But why was he wearing it?
He turned to Kyla. "Do you see anything different about me?" He asked.
"Excuse me?" Kyla said. "You go to my school, right?" She frowned. "I'm Kyla," she said.
Jay frowned, confused. His friend was acting like she barely knew him. "I'm Jay...we came in here together," he insisted. "Unless I've been sucked into some weird parallel universe..."
"You came in with her," Kyla gestured to the attractive Japanese girl a short distance away.
"This is very weird. Like that episode of..." he trailed off, suddenly blanking on the reference. There was a man in a strange hat, and...
"Are you all right?" Kyla asked.
"What if I told you I bumped into that girl, who I didn't know, and suddenly my clothes are different, and you think I'm a stranger?"
"I'd say that was impossible...but would be really cool," she said, after a pause.
"It would be...if I was observing it from a distance instead of living it."
Junko returned. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"Who do you think I am?" Jay asked her.
"You're Jay...my friend," she said, looking confused. "And...you go to our school, right?" She asked Kyla.
"But...it's the other way round, I barely know you and she's my friend," Jay insisted, his voice increasing subtly in volume. He sounded agitated.
"But, we were going to catch a movie," Junko said. Something was oddly familiar about this conversation.
