Patricia looked at her oddly. "What else would you be wearing?" She looked at her friend Vicky with worried eyes. She sure was acting strange. Patricia and Vicky worked at the same office and had decided to head to the mall after work to relax and shop. In this new reality, Patricia was still married, but she had no children.
"But, Patricia," Vicky insisted. "I was wearing a dress a moment ago." She paused. Did she just call her mother by her first name?
"I've been with you on and off all day, and you haven't changed," she insisted.
Vicky swung around to the girl who served her. "You saw, didn't you?" She said.
"Vicky, calm down," Patricia said, wondering if her friend had suddenly lost it.
