The dwarf was quiet the entire trip. He seemed like he enjoyed his job, but I realized he had to be computer-generated and not a real person. That made me a little uneasy, since he seemed so real, besides being a four-foot tall dwarf (which didn't strike me as too odd at first since I was a foot shorter now).
I sat in the bare seats in the back with time to think about my new body. It was so different! I could feel the extra padding on my butt on the hard seat, and it was really noticable. I felt it a little bit and it felt great. I glided my hands across the sides of my body and it felt so soft and feminine. The wind and my explorations made my nipples hard, which was a very strange feeling. It was almost surreal. I could see their outlines through my shirt and it was arousing, even though I couldn't really explore and I felt strange about it at the same time. My hair was another story -- I had short hair all my life, and running my hands through my soft reddish brown hair felt really great. With my long hair and green clothes I thought I looked a lot like an elf, like Suzie was now. But I always imagined elves to be thin as sticks, and even though I was thin, I couldn't help but notice certain parts of my avatar's that weren't sticklike at all. Adding to my unease, my tiny green miniskirt seemed to expose my green underwear when I was sitting down. I took pains to keep my legs all the way closed with my feet crossed so that the dwarf wouldn't look at me more than he already had.
After I was done exploring my new body for then, I thought about Suzie. I'd actually get to see her very soon! We'd been "dating" for a year and we were really in love, even though we'd never physically met. I suddenly got a little sad that she had to see me like this! I thought about quitting and making a new avatar but I didn't want to keep her waiting there too long and I didn't want to wait too long to see her.
As I began to wonder how I'd introduce my "real" self, the dwarf said "Aye, we're here lass!" as the carriage slowed. That'll be 20 Gil, it's normally 30 but I wouldn't charge such a beautiful thing the full price."
I blushed again. I nervously untied my string and then realized I didn't know how much the pieces were worth. "Umm, dwarf, sir," I mumbled, "how much are each of these coins worth?"
The dwarf gave a hearty chortle. "Women! They don't know money! The small ones are 5 Gil pieces, lass. The middle ones are 10 Gil pieces and the big ones are 50. There are smaller ones that are worth 1 Gil but nobody really uses those any more, and there are bigger ones worth 100 and 1000, I wish I'd have seen more of those in my days."
I smiled and pulled out four of the middle sized ones. "You can keep this, since you've been so, er, nice." I said, even though I regretted it right after saying it. I didn't want to encourage him!
"Why thank you lass! Your heart is as big as your, er, beauty." he laughed again and began to ride off.
I was in the middle of a busy shopping neighborhood now with men and women of all kinds walking about. I looked a little out of place, since everyone seemed nicely dressed -- and had more clothes on. Some were even wearing armor and carrying swords. A couple men walked by wearing robes -- they were wizards!
I pulled out my MAP, dedicated to not being distracted. I found Suzie about a block's length away in the nearby park. I hoped she wasn't getting too annoyed at me being late. The carriage ride must have taken at least a half hour, maybe more.
