"I need your help. I ... I don't know who else to talk to about this," the pregnant woman said.

"Talk about what?" Athena asked. She looked at the woman.

Athena felt a sudden warmth from the pendant around her neck. She'd been feeling that on and off all morning,

"I know you're into magic and stuff..."

Athena frowned. So...she was still her...her pendant had protected her, but somehow, this also her club now? With Agatha gone, she supposed it had to be someone's club. Obviously her pendant wasn't powerful enough to fully combat what was going on.

Apparently, this woman had lost a friend and no one remembered them. She went to her friend's house, but there was a different family living there. As Athena listened, the woman's story was familiar...but the details were all mixed up.

Her missing friend was a boy, not a girl and when she described the family living in the house, she didn't mention anything about a boy in woman's clothing...a detail hard to miss. And the woman clearly wasn't a witch.

"So what do you think? Do you think I'm losing my mind?" the woman asked, after she was finished telling her story.

Athena tried to decide what to tell her. Should she lie to her, to ease her mind, tell her the full truth, which was even more scary, or...

She decided to tell her an edited version of the truth. "No," she said. "Something is happening," she said. "I'm not sure what yet. But I need you to tell me what you see," she told the woman.
