When they got to the kitchen, Mikey poured himself a cup of coffee and sipped it.
Linda forced herself to focus. Something was still wrong...
"Sit down, Linda. I'll make you some pancakes..." Linda practically jumped with glee. She loved pancakes!
Mikey reached for the pancake mix. I wish I had that kind of energy, he thought. Something about that statement bothered him, but he pushed it aside.
Jon slipped on a bra. It seemed a bit large...had he stretched it out somehow? He pulled a sweater over his head, then reached for a skirt from his closet. That was good enough for work today. He'd better get going.
He grabbed his pocketbook from where it was hanging next to the door, slipped into his shoes, and hurried out the door. He had the oddest feeling he'd forgotten something.
Zoe was giggling with the other girls after practice when a woman showed up. "Zoe, your mother called me and said I was taking you to school today. Come along," she said.
"'Kay," she said, smiling, showing an adorable gap in her teeth that had appeared a few moments before...She was grower cuter and cuter by the minute...not that anyone was noticing.
