Jon was looking at the computer screen, pondering his next move. He had 2 tries left until something happened. Probably something bad, like formatting the harddrive. Would the counter reset if he stopped for a while? The hint went away between yesterday and today. Maybe he'd read the journal for a bit and get back to the password puzzle.
He went over to the bed and took out the journal, starting where he left off. Penny joined the cheerleading team to help out Sarah, who lost a girl to an injury and Karen joined in support. Penny wrote about the benefits in balance and flexibility. Some entries about a movie she saw in school, then a few about the state of the world, a couple on "fun" mathematics theories. One entry from about 3-4 weeks ago on her period and how it's not fair that girls have to do all the work for babymaking, while the guys just have to ejaculate once at the right time of a woman's cycle. Jon was just scanning now, but did not see anything about powers and none of the math stuff was about numbers, except the emirps. After Jon finished the journal, he thought a bit. Maybe there were more somewhere? He started to search the room and after a bit his mom knocked on the door.
"You OK, honey? We could hear you banging around up here, " asked Sherry
"Just looking for my journals mom."
"Do you have any you didn't burn?"
"Huh?"
"You usually burn them when they are full. I joined you once and it was cathartic to get the thoughts out. Plus, then your dad couldn't find it, " said Sherry with a wink sitting down on Penny's bed. Jon went back to the chair at the laptop and sat, feeling the extra cushion of his female derriere.
"Penny, you seem a bit off today, you ok?"
Jon thought for a minute. He couldn't exactly tell her the truth, at least not all of it. "Mom, I'm just frustrated because I can't get my password on my laptop. I've been locked out since this morning."
"Is that all?" asked Sherry with her eyes implying that she knew there was more.
"That's all, mom."
"I shouldn't have questioned. Did you turn off the cap lock?"
"It wasn't on."
"I hope you remember it, because you didn't tell me it. Good luck sweetie. If you don't get it before bed, maybe we can bring it to Best Buy or something. Remember, bedtime is in 30 minutes. The shower is all yours, since Zoe is done," said Sherry before she left the room. Jon heard the door close. He looked at the computer and it was still at 2. Maybe he had to wait longer? It wouldn't hurt to try one more password. Healing13. The counter went to 1. Jon decided that he should leave it alone for a bit. He stretched while he yawned, and smelled something bad. He realized he hadn't showered yesterday or after cheerleading today. Since he may be stuck as Penny for another day, he decided to shower. Jon didn't want to make her the smelly girl. He went to his pajama drawer, grabbed something and went into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, he took a moment to move and watch someone else's reflection move. It was like a dream. He stripped down and then looked down. There they were, the objects of any teenage boys dreams, just a quick glance down. He could feel the weight of them. While he was looking, he could feel his nipples enlarge and see them poke out a bit more. He decided it was time to shower.
He got in and turn the shower on to his usual spot on the dial, but the water felt colder than usual. Maybe Zoe used more water than usual? He turned up the temp and felt the warm water hit his skin. It was so relaxing. He put his head under and felt his hair get really heavy. He took some shampoo and put it on his hair and started to wash his scalp and then work his way down his hair. He ran out of shampoo and went back for more more than once. He saw all sorts of other stuff in there. Body wash, shower gel, conditioner. There was even shaving gel. Jon went to his jaw and felt no hair, then realized the shaving gel was for other places. He took stock of his body hair, and there was only on his head and around his... He wasn't going to be Penny for long, so he decided to not shave anything today. Despite everything there, there wasn't a bar of soap, so he put the body wash on a washcloth and started to rub it all over his body. It got a good lather and smelled like vanilla. He scrubbed everywhere, noticing the differences in the curves of this body compared to his normal one. Even though it was smaller, it seemed to take longer. He put down the washcloth and rinsed off. He tried to try his hair, but it never seemed to dry. He dried the rest of himself, which was much faster than his attempt at drying his hair. He put on his nightgown and rubbed his abdomen unconsciously since it felt a little upset. He hung his towel after a moment and went back to his room.
He looked at the laptop and saw it still said 1. He looked at his bed, wondering if he should try the password one more time or not
