"That settles it," Richard said. "She's fine. Get the paperwork ready. I'll sign a waiver if you want."
It only took a few hours, and the family lawyer to get Jon sprung. Richard MacMillan was a very powerful figure in town, and the hospital administrator caved in. Jon would have to continue outpatient therapy every day.
It was during the paperwork phase that Jon discovered it was actually August...several months after he remembered, only a few weeks before the start of what would have been his, or Sarah's senior year. He found this out when his/Sarah's(he had to sort that out) parents told him they hoped he would be ready to return to school when it started.
School? Like this? As Sarah MacMillan? He couldn't even picture that.
They ushered Jon out the door and into a waiting taxi, which drove them all home. And he found himself being sent, alone, to Sarah's room, with orders to rest.
