Kendall closed the bathroom door, then tied the door shut. He didn't want Scarlet getting out prematurely. When he was sure that the door was secure, he made his way back to the living room. And that was when he heard the chanting.
As he entered the room, he watched Morris collapse to the floor. Kendall drew his weapon and tried to aim it at the conservatively dressed girl who was chanting (she looked nothing like a witch, but looks were deceiving, especially today), but he felt his arm grow limp, causing him to drop the gun to the floor. Then he fell to his knees. "Bitch," he said, before collapsing and falling unconscious.
"What did you do?" George asked.
"I made them fall asleep," Athena answered. "And they'll stay that way for hours, unless someone tries to wake them."
"Are you some kind of a witch or something?" Debra asked.
"Something like that," she answered. Then she turned to Rachel. "Let's get Scarlet."
They walked down the hall and released Scarlet from her makeshift prison. Then they gathered in the living room to discuss what to do next.
It was decided that Kendall and his lackey would be locked up and not released until after the phenomenon was taken care of. They only wanted to deal with one problem at a time. Now since Scarlet was there, they could finally put the brakes on the phenomenon, something that most people were hoping for all that morning. And after only a few minutes of chanting (Scarlet looked over Zoe's research and discovered a way to do it without using a potion), the four witches had stopped the phenomenon from spreading even further.
But with all of their resources at hand, they still couldn't return everyone to normal. They would need something special to do that, something more than just the four of them together.
"So what now?" Zoe asked.
"Now we make preparations for returning everyone to normal," Scarlet said. "But to do that, we'll need to go back to the cabin." She turned to the rest of the people in the living room - George, Debra, Tim and Mikey. "All of you stay here."
As the four witches walked to the front door, Tim spoke up. "What are we supposed to do about those FBI guys?"
"Make sure they don't escape. They'll get in the way of things. Especially Kendall," Scarlet said. "We'll be back in a few hours."
Scarlet opened the door and left with the rest of her coven.
